Today I’ve got another case for review, this time from Thermaltake. The case is called the Chaser MK-1 and it’s big with bold styling and lots of features that anyone building a system can appreciate. The Chaser MK-1 has USB 3.0 ports built-in, 33cm fans to keep the system cool and it has a hard drive docking station built right into the case so you can quickly and easily access hard drives when you need to.

NZXT has been a name that's popped up a lot lately at eTeknix, in terms of cases and other product ranges. When it comes to cases, we have seen some of their more elegant designs pass through our offices, whereas today sees us look at bit more at an enthusiast focussed area. We could only be talking about one case, and that's the NZXT Phantom.

When I mention the Cooler Master Silencio 550, the first thing that comes to mind is probably the movie "Mulholland Drive". In the film, there is an eerie theater by the name of Club Silencio. Actually, that is about all I can tell you, because as someone who is in Electrical Engineering, I have actually never seen the movie in question -- for one thing, we all know engineers never ever go outside, do not stray more than three feet away from our computers, and has never met a girl before -- so hitting the cinema is unsurprisingly out of the question. (Actually, it was probably because I was eleven years old when it was released.) With that in mind, I got some bad news for you. If you are into eerie theaters and whatnot, then the Silencio 550 is going to be pretty disappointing. On the other hand, for the rest of you out there, I don't think Cooler Master actually intended to allude to the psychological thriller, but rather a modified version of the word, "silence". In that case -- no pun intended -- whether you are into quiet computing or an avid fridge enthusiast, the Cooler Master Silencio 550 wants you to take it seriously as a new contender in the rising market silent PC chassis. Following the footsteps of runaway successes like Antec's Performance One series and Fractal Design Define line of cases, is the new kid on the block cutting into the pie everyone is after? After a month of testing, we have all the answers for you today.

Hard drive enclosures can be very useful devices, you may just want it as a cheap way of using an old hard drive as a backup storage drive, or you may need it to save all those important documents from a laptop hard drive that just won't boot any more. There are many other reasons for using such an enclosure and as you have probably guessed we are taking a look at one of many variants on the standard and usually quite plain Hard Disk Drive Enclosure, in this case it is of the 2.5" only variant, but does take advantage of the latest USB 3.0 interface for hopefully impressive performance.

Here at Benchmark Reviews we like to bring you the most up to date hardware reviews, our latest sample is the BitFenix Shinobi Window Mid-Tower PC case model number BFC-SNB-150-KKW1-RP. This case has been out now for a few months but is still quite recent, it was the elegant design that first attracted me to this case, the second point that made this case rather appealing was its raw mod-ability. There seems to be a trend lately with many people cursing overly plastic PC cases but I think the Shinobi is somewhat different, it isn't perfect but for its price you can't really want for more. For under $70 you get a very good looking 'windowed' case with a painted interior, motherboard cut-out's and room to manage and hide cables effectively, a bottom mounted PSU, two 120mm fans pre-installed with capability for seven and mesh venting on all intakes bar the window. let's not leave it there though, there is more to see so let's get to it.
