With a URL like SpireCoolers.com, it’s not hard to understand that Spire are most well known for their heat sink fan combinations. However, you may have heard they make cases too. Today – despite it being a holiday, yes, I’m dedicated – I’m reviewing the Spire Savit 6005B. It’s got a snappy name and a matt black exterior with a few USB ports.

NZXT cases are always unique looking and we often get requests to test them. The recently announced NZXT H440 also sparked a lot of interest which is probable partly due to some of the radical design choices that NZXT made. The front of the case is one solid piece and there are no 5,25" bay and this gives the case a very striking appearance, but like we are used to from NZXT they have given a lot of thought to the design. In our recent tests of the Phantom 530 and the H230 we found cooling performances a little lacking. The H440 probably won't change that being a silent case but we are interested to see how it will fare when compared to 13 other silence oriented cases.

Nach dem erfolgreichen „Coolcube“ schickt Cooltek das wenig größere „U3“ ins Rennen, das Mainboards im Micro-ATX-Format aufnimmt und einen 120-mm-Hecklüfter bietet.

NZXT is on a roll. Their line of sub-$100 computer cases brings features to this market segment we haven't seen before, including fully finished interiors, rolled metal edges, and cable management, just to name a few things. The NZXT Lexa S Mid-Tower computer case is one of the more recent offerings in their "Crafted Series" line of cases. Festooned with a sleek black front door with integral LED lighting and fan controllers, this case would look great on your desk. But as a starting point for a new system build, how does LEXS-001BK model stack up?

The second revision of the Arc Mini micro ATX chassis brings a few revisions while keeping the essential styling that differentiates Fractal Design from other PC case manufacturers. The original Arc Mini PC case was well received by PC enthusiasts and system builders alike, and now Benchmark Reviews has the Arc Mini R2 for testing and we will detail what sets it apart from the crowd.

There's been a lot of innovation in the computer case market in the last couple of years, and while there have been some real advances in features and utility, there's also been some stuff that's best described as "silly". As cases evolve to handle the demands of enthusiast systems, Lian Li has been updating their traditional designs to meet the challenges posed by the competition (and your hot components). Today Benchmark Reviews looks at the Lian Li PC-V1020 full tower aluminum computer case...

I remember looking at the original Midgard from Xigmatek and I even refreshed my memory by looking at the old review from 2010. As I remember, the original offered something like five ODD bays, five HDD bays with metal trays, seven expansion slots and a pair of orange bladed fans to go along with the tool-less mechanisms used in that chassis. One other thing I remember was that the original did have most of the front and the entire top covered with mesh for easy breathe-ability for both air in through the front. Via convection it allowed hot air to escape right through the top passively or you could add fans to help things along. All in all, for the time of its release, the Midgard had an oddly placed front I/O panel, but other than that it was a nice chassis for its day.
As time progresses, older designs are left in the dust in favor of cases with USB 3.0, room to manage wires behind the motherboard tray and even handy hot-swap SATA hard drive docks built into cases are a huge hit. Well, Xigmatek saw the writing on the wall and took what was a good selling product for them and figured it was time to update the chassis to today's customers' expectations. With a fresh set of eyes, the new release got both an exterior and an interior redo. There are some subtle hints to the original case, but honestly it looks a lot like the mid towers we seen from BitFenix. Either way, the new chassis is a definite improvement over the original concept.

In the PC building community we're all enthusiasts, and no matter how much time you spend building, you always end up needing more space to build in. Rosewill is a company here to answer that need you have. Their recently released Thor case is an XL-ATX tower able to support the extra large motherboards like the EVGA X58 Classified 4-way SLI, Gigabyte 890FXA-UD7 and others. This XL-ATX case enters a rank in terms of size that few other cases venture to, so let's see if it can hold up to the competition and rise above the rest.
