Antec have been producing cases for many years now and they have numerous models in their range. They are favoured by many users because they have a reputation for being well featured and competitively priced.

The TJ08 Evolution is an update of the original TJ08 chassis from SilverStone’s Temjin series. With the ability to house 13.25" long expansion cards and a 165mm high CPU cooler along with four 3.5" and one 2.5" internal bays, two 5.25" and one 3.5" external bays, two USB 3.0 ports, a positive pressure cooling design with a 180mm fan, the fully-painted aluminum/steel chassis can accommodate most systems. It is perhaps fairly routine sounding until examining the dimensions. At 15.16" x 8.27" x 14.72", the TJ08-E has a lot to offer for such a compact size.

Almost 2 years ago, XL-ATX set out to be the defining standard for enthusiast grade motherboards. Some early successes came about since EVGA and Gigabyte released boards using the standard, but it never became mainstream. With that said, today we get to look at another XL-ATX case design for gamers with the Rosewill Thor v2; which is an update to the original Thor that we reviewed back in March 2011.
Fractal Design are a Swedish brand who specialise in the engineering and designing of cases. Their concept is “to provide products with an extraordinary design level, without compromising the important factors of quality, functionality and pricing. “. They took the market by the throat back in 2009 when the extremely popular and somewhat revolutionary Define R2 was released and soon became a fan favourite. The Define R2 was very popular due to its ‘no nonsense’ appearance which lacked the ‘bling’ factor that so many people hate. It offered some of the features that we have become accustomed to from the likes of Lian Li and Corsair, but at a significantly lower price. The Define R3 was a worthy successor which added useful features such as more colour choices, better cooling capabilities and improved cable management. The Define R3 however was a somewhat dignified exit, if only temporarily, to the quiet operating cases that the Define series were built to offer.
The Corsair Carbide Series features two models so far, the 400R and the 500R. We reviewed the 400R a couple of months ago, and it proved to carry a terrific cost/benefit ratio, deserving our Golden Award. Let's see if its brother, the 500R, follows the same heritage.
The PC case or chassis is a misunderstood thing really. Many people are happy with that beige box sitting under their desk, but not me, and not a lot of people out there either. Luckily for us there are companies like NZXT who come up with great designs for cases for those of use that don’t like the beige box. Today for review I’ve got one of the newest cases from NZXT called the Tempest 410 and it’s aimed at the gamer or enthusiast with a sleek look and lots of airflow. The case has plenty of room for many hard drives, large video cards, big CPU coolers and space for those that might want to do a little liquid cooling as well.
