Cases
You may think that all cases below the USD 50 mark have serious quality problems (such as sharp edges where you might cut your fingers while building your PC) and don't come with features most users will need. However, after seeing the Bitfenix Merc Alpha, which costs only USD 40, you may change your opinion. Let's see why.
Cases
There is vast selection of cases which tend to the needs of the average user, gamer and enthusiast. Looking at the sub £150 market, we can see well over 25 cases that are worthy of recommendation at a specific price point for a specific user's needs. While these cases are excellent in their own respect, what happens when an extreme enthusiast wants the very best that money can buy? Maybe Thermaltake can answer that question.

Now Corsair are entering the low end of the case market with their Carbide series and the first model is the 400R. Today we find out if they can fit their great build quality and features from the higher priced models into a low cost chassis.
Cases
If you're looking for more than a normal mid-sized ATX case can offer, or if you are having a hard time finding all the features you want without breaking the bank, then you'll definitely be interested in the Corsair Carbide 500R. Benchmark Reviews recently showed you the 400R and its excellent capabilities. A step above that is the 500R. We looked at model CC9011012-WW which has an arsenal of features. Four stock fans for massive cooling, tool-less installation, modular/configurable drive bays, eight expansion slots. It's got everything you need, and nothing you don't. This is a great case for the expanding system; for users who want to step out of something small and start getting big on their performance.

NZXT is a brand known for providing cost-effective products. Recently, they released the Tempest 210, a mid-tower case that costs only USD 55 and provides a terrific cost/benefit ratio, deserving our Golden Award. Just to confuse you a little more at this point, NZXT offers a Tempest 410 (non Elite) as well. But separating both 410's apart is simply rubber grommets in the wire management holes and that the Elite offers a windowed side panel where the 410 does not. There is so much going on outside of these two chassis' around the outside that I actually had to break that section into two pages just to fit it all.
