Not since the 800D have I seen an Obsidian chassis that offers as much as what the 550D from Corsair delivers. Come see why I think this is the new "Must-Have" in mid-tower cases.
Cases
I am a case snob. The cases I like are brushed aluminum, have removable motherboard trays, neatly rolled edges, finished interiors, cable management, and so forth. They have SATA backplanes and mounts for triple-120 radiators. A certain degree of style doesn't hurt, either. Of course cases like this are expensive, but since I have to look at them all day, I figure they're worth it. In this article, Benchmark Reviews inspects the NZXT M59 Mid-Tower computer case, which at a suggested retail price of $59.99 is hardly in the milieu I'm become accustomed to. Will the design flair evident in NZXT's $400 Khaos gaming case be in evidence here? Let's see.

With the Dragon Rider, In Win has done what all good designers do, regardless of the medium they are working in. They've taken some styling cues from their excellent Dragon Slayer case, made it bigger by using the best design features from their Maelstrom full-tower chassis and added some innovative and impressive new features.

Hardcore AMD aficionados should find Cooler Master's limited edition HAF 932 chassis hard to resist, and with good reason. Thanks to its front panel treatment and side window graphic, this chassis has a very distinctive look and brings with it the proven performance and features of the very popular original HAF 932.
Cases
The most popular cases on the market are mid-tower models as they offer a good compromise between size, features and price. There is a large amount of competition in the mid tower market, especially around the £50 – £60 mark. This is the point at which we start to see high-end features being present on cases, such as tool-less installation mechanisms and cable routing options. But, at this price, the cases are still affordable so they offer a great compromise for those who want to get the best possible bang per buck.

Today for review I have a case or chassis from Cooler Master called the HAF XB. This is a smaller style case, what might be called a lanbox but it’s not just for gaming of course as you can use it for anything. What makes the HAF XB really special is the fact that it also doubles as a test bench. Me, being a reviewer, can very much appreciate a tech bench as it makes life easier for testing products. Just because it’s a test bench doesn’t mean that the average user can’t use it, in fact being a test bench allows you to fully open it up and get inside making installation of you system just that much easier. The HAF XB is small in size but it’s got a lot of room inside thanks to the excellent design of it. The HAF XB allows you to use even the largest video cards and you can easily fit three of them inside for a nice gaming system. The case comes with two fans pre-installed but there is room for more if you need more cooling, and the case can be used with liquid cooling as well or any combination thereof. It’s from Cooler Master so you know it’s a quality made case, and that HAF XB is that and more. The case is very well designed to maximize all of the available space and still make it easy to install even the highest end systems in it. So read on for a rather lengthy review of the HAF XB…

SilverStone created a new chaper in computer case history with its Raven series of cases by rotating the motherboard 90º and making the rear panel of the motherboard to be on the top of the case, rather than on its back. This design change improves heating dissipation, since hot air tends to go up, and by putting the heat exhaust of the video cards on the top panel, it is easier for the air to follow its natural path. This concept was first introduced with the Raven RV01 and perfected with the Raven RV02 and the Fortress FT02. Now SilverStone is bringing a more economical version of the Raven, the RV03. Let's see if this case is a good buy.

If people left things alone and didn’t continue to innovate we would all still be driving around in Model A’s rather than the car options we have now. Lian Li has impressed me every time I have had a chance to check out their cases, but they haven’t been sitting on their hands. I recently had their new PC-10N come in. With their new rail design for motherboard installation and with its corners cut off the PC-10N does have a few new features while sticking with the all-aluminum design that Lian Li is known for. Of course I can’t leave it at that, I had to dig into the case and see what it is all about.
