Today we are looking at a new chassis from Lian Li that has been nicknamed the Adventurer on the packaging. The actual naming of this all aluminum chassis is the PC-TU200 Mini Tower chassis. As with the cases that used to house our remote nuclear launch capability, or even thinking back to my musically inclined days, a lot of the electronics shipped from gig to gig in cases much like this. The rugged look of reinforced corners with aluminum plates riveted to the frame over the sides of the case for added protection against any accidental abuse this case may encounter in its travels.

With the push for lower power draw, high performance chips right now, we are seeing more and more small form factor products popping up. Today Lian-Li introduces its new small form factor case, the PC-TU200, but will it have what it takes to shine in this competitive market?

Today we’re going to look at the Lian-Li PC-TU200 Aluminium Mini Tower case, targeted at small form factor enthusiasts and for those people seeking a sleek, portable HTPC case.
Can the PC-TU200 hold it’s own in a ever-growing, competitive small form factor market? Do big things really come in small packages?

Today we take a look at one of the latest chassis designs from legendary manufacturer Lian Li. Lian Li have built up an impressive reputation in the PC industry for producing some truly amazing products, their chassis designs have always been known for their premium quality, well-engineered and innovative designs and their extensive use of light weight aluminium. I’ve spent time using Lian Li chassis in the past and they’re always impressive in one way or another which is just one of the reasons I’m looking forward to testing this new chassis today.
The PC-TU100 was on display earlier this year at Computex and its one of the smallest and most unusual chassis around, well ok it’s not that unique, but it does have a funky little carry handle on it that really makes it stand out from most other chassis designs.
Today I will be looking for all the thing we have come to expect of Lian Li, these include light weight aluminium with a premium grade finish, innovative features, good design and hopefully even value for money. The PC-TU100 isn’t at retail at the time of writing but we expect it to be out in the next few weeks, so unfortunately pricing has yet to be confirmed, although expect to pay a small premium due to the materials that Lian Li use in the construction of their chassis.

One of the smallest, yet very portable SFF chassis designs hits the TweakTown desk, as Lian Li delivers the PC-TU100 for testing.

The Pitstop T60 test bench chassis exhibits all the characteristics one would expect from a Lian Li product. The materials, quality and fit and finish are second to none. It also, unfortunately, seems to have a bit of an identity crisis. While it definitely qualifies as a test bench chassis, all the components are attached with screws and not that much easier to swap than it would be in a regular case.

Lian Li makes one of the most accessible mini-tower cases we have ever seen, the PC-Q36. Read our review as Chad tells us all about it and what he thinks.
