Nanoxia is releasing its second mid-tower case, the Deep Silence 2 (also known as DS2), targeted to silent computing. We've already reviewed the Deep Silence 1, which received our Golden Award. Let's see if the new version also deserves our recommendation.
Cases
Nanoxia are a name you should know, and their Deep Silence chassis already has a following out there in modders land. With that said, it’s hard for a designer and manufacturer of system chassis and other cooling components to make a name for themselves in the shadow of the mainstream corporations.

It's quite amazing that we are just over a month away from crossing to 2013 but even so although we witness the release of countless PC Cases per year (even if that just applies for the past 5 years or so) only just a handful of those actually come with serious noise-absorbing coating and are aimed towards users who cherish silence. Even more amazing is that most of those cases are not manufactured by the leading companies in the field but rather small ones who just care about providing the best possible noiseless environment. So the most famous attempts to make a really quiet PC case to date (at least the successful ones) have been by Antec (Performance One series), Fractal Design (Define series) and lately by NEXUS (Prominent series). However it really seems that there's room for more such solutions and so today we are taking a look at a PC case manufactured by Nanoxia, a German brand name which i hadn't heard of in a while.

Nanoxia combine high end cooling with high end sound proofing in the Deep Silence 1.
Cases
Do you like your PC case to have a simple and timeless elegance? The Nanoxia Deep Silence 1 mid-tower case was deliberately designed to look simple on the outside, but the inside is another story. simple in design. The Deep Silence 1 case is equipped with two soundproof doors, a good ventilation system and all the modern features that one would want today. Read on to see what we think about this new case that was made in Germany!
Cases
The Nanoxia Deep Silence 1 takes mid-tower versatility to the next level, using an incredibly advanced array of cooling and layout options, all while keeping airflow and silence as its main focus. The keys to the Nanoxia Deep Silence 1’s success are a unique chimney system, 8 modular and moveable HDD bays and the use of their highly successful Deep Silence fans throughout. While the DS1 bills itself as “water cooling ready”, it is much closer to a “water cooling marvel”, with top space for one 240/280mm, front 240mm (or 120mm) and rear 120/140mm. The modular HDD cages can be moved back in the case to open up room for the front radiator to sit behind the stock 120mm intake locations, with plenty of room to spare for thick radiators and/or push pull configurations. The extended top of the Deep Silence 1 offers mounting options for 120/140/240/280mm radiators and fans with a variety of offsets to suit your particular components.

Is this the German version of the Fractal Design Define R4? How well does it stack up?
Cases
Nanoxia was a company I had not heard of up until recently. We were introduced to them at CES this year as they provided cases for Swiftech’s demo systems. The German company was founded in 2006 and has been making some great cooling fans and other smaller PC accessories. This past year they introduced their first case, the Deep Silence 1. These were what I saw at CES and I was rather impressed. Now I have one to review and I am excited to spend some real time with the case. The Nanoxia Deep Silence 1 is a mid tower that if you can guess by the name is made for silence. It has sound dampening material throughout, three of Nanoxia’s Deep Silence fans, room for up to 8 hard drives, dual fan controller and USB 3.0 support. Can this case compete against other silent cases out there? Let’s find out!
Cases
Today we are going to take a look at the Nanoxia Deep Silence 1 case which is the predecessor to the Deep Silence 2 which we looked at a few weeks back. This was only released around a year ago, though, so is still fairly current and is actually a more expensive product than the Deep Silence 2.
Cases
The Deep Silence 1, also known as DS1, is the first mid-tower case from the German manufacturer, Nanoxia. It features foam everywhere to reduce the noise produced by the computer, and it has eight expansion slots, allowing you to install up to four high-end video cards, as long as you have a compatible motherboard. Let's see if this new release is worth our recommendation.
