Everyone has a portable computer of some kind, whether it is a notebook or netbook. They range in many different sizes but the overall idea is generally the same. Some are more aimed towards the business user, whilst some are focussed on home use and others are geared towards the extreme gamer offering unparalleled performance in a small form factor design.

New companies are few and far between these days. When we tend to see a "new company" in a particular market it tends to be an existing company expanding its portfolio, like when EVGA moved into the CPU cooler market.
However, we've started working with a company who genuinely are new to the scene. Reeven are an Asian based cooling company who make CPU coolers, fan controllers and fans. Until recently we had never heard of them and currently find their products are very hard to buy as very few western retailers actually stock them. After finding Reeven products listed on the Scythe Japan website, I believe that Reeven are in some way affiliated to Scythe - but I am not quite sure how.

When you are building a home theater PC or small form factor PC it is really hard to find a CPU cooler that will not only fit, but provide adequate cooling as well. We know Noctua for making extremely large CPU coolers, some of the largest air coolers that we have seen actually. Today we are checking out one of their latest CPU coolers the NH-L12. What is interesting about it is that it is a low-profile cooler made for home theater PC’s and smaller systems. Will this cooler still provide the great cooling power we are used to seeing with Noctua CPU coolers? Read on to find out!

Phanteks have been working in the cooling market for almost 20 years, but relatively recently they decided to breach into the consumer space with the incredible PH-TC14PE. Receiving rave reviews across the industry, Phanteks have made a name for themselves in very little time by dethroning the Noctua NH-D14, which was regarded as the king of air CPU cooling for quite some time. If you were to obtain a Phanteks PH-TC14PE, you’ll also be provided with 2 PH-F140TS 140mm case fans. These fans are rated to have very high airflow whilst not making much noise, credited to their Maelstrom Vortex Booster design on the blades of the fan itself. We’ve received the blue version of the PH-F140TS, but it comes in black, red, orange and white too. Keep reading if you want to see if this fan is able to blow away the competition.

The five CPU coolers reviewed today include the Corsair H100i, the Cooler Master Seidon 240M, the Phanteks PH-TC14PE, the Noctua NH-D14 SE2011, and the Zalman CNPS 12X. Each of these coolers are considered flagship coolers for each respective company, so let’s see how they stack up against each other...

Today we are going to look at the Be Quiet! Shadow Rock Pro which is part of the new Shadow Rock series. While the Dark Rock series was designed for the enthusiast segment where performance is the key consideration, the Shadow Rock is designed with quiet operation in mind. Let’s take a closer look.

It’s been a long time since I’ve reviewed any CPU Coolers here, so let’s just jump right back into it with one for the Corei5 Socket1156. Today I have the Noctua NH-U12P SE2 CPU Cooler for review. It’s essentially the same as the original NH-U12P but now is compatible with more socket types, including the 1156 Corei5 CPU. Noctua is well know for their products, the design, build quality and performance are all excellent. They’ve won many, many awards for their products, so it was natural that they come out with newer versions of their products for the newer CPUs and socket styles. I’ve installed it on my Corei5 750 CPU, and tested it both at stock speeds and overclocked, so read on to learn more…
