Scythe gives the very successful Mugen Series another go with the release of the new Mugen 4 CPU cooler. Let's take a look at it.

Back at the January Consumer Electronics Show (CES) this year we brought you coverage of Thermaltake's new product releases which included a whole selection of cases, power supplies, storage options and peripherals from its sub-division TT eSports. However, there were a couple of CES 2013 product releases from Thermaltake that stood right out at me, being the cooling reviewer and all. The first of those was the Thermaltake Water 3.0 series and the second was the Thermaltake NiC Series, both CPU coolers.
Today we are looking at something from the latter series, the Non Interference Cooler (NiC) series. Specifically we have the NiC C4, which is one of four coolers for the series that includes the NiC F3, NiC F4, NiC C4 and NiC C5. The Thermaltake NiC C4 is the "second best" model from the NiC series with 220W of TDP support and it sits below the C5 (23oW) and above the F4 (180W) and F3 (160W). Featuring four 6mm heatpipes and two 120mm fans, plus as the NiC moniker suggests - total RAM compatibility with all platforms, the NiC C4 pledges to be a high end CPU cooler with full RAM support.

The double thick 120mm radiator makes the Corsair H80i is compact cooler that can fit into most cases, but it still offers enough cooler performance for enthusiasts running their processors at high frequencies and voltages.

The Black Edition CPU Cooler from Gelid Solutions shows a large step in Gelid’s involvement with the hardware side of the CPU cooling market. The Gelid Black Edition is a full-on 160mm tall, 990g dual tower cooler using two 120mm fans, with very impressive looks and design. To begin with, the Black Edition uses a slim fan up front to improve compatibility with larger MB components and pairs it with a high CFM low noise fan in the center of the towers to maximize airflow while keeping noise to an absolute minimum. Both fans are nicely finished in black and work well with the black brushed top making for an impressive in-case presentation. The aluminum fins of each tower have a unique, rippled shape in order to improve airflow while keeping noise to a minimum. The versatile mounting kit of the Black Edition is compatible with the latest Intel (775/1150/1155/1156/1366/2011) and AMD (FM1/2, AM2/3) sockets, and a Y-adapter for fan cables is included. With outstanding build quality, Gelid backs the Black Edition with a 5-year warranty.

Are you a fan of cooling efficiency, bling, and especially the two combined? If so, COUGAR’s CFD Dual-X LED fans are worth checking out. Ideally spec’d as fans to line the interior of your chassis, only part of the CFD series’ goal is to keep things cool. The other half is to make your PC stand out, both with its bright LEDs and aggressive design.

This is the first cooler from the GamerStorm line of CPU coolers that we have had to test. It's time to see if the Assassin is a real killer or not.

Buona lettura.
