I have been covering computer hardware for quite some time and one thing that I’ve seen a lot of are companies that specialize in CPU coolers and cooling come and go. Today we are checking out a CPU cooler from a relatively new company called Phanteks. They currently offer CPU Cooler and cooling fan solutions. The CPU cooler is the PH-TC14CS which is a C-type cooler that features dual 140mm fans, 5 heatpipes, and a large copper base. The cooler also comes in a variety of colors so you can match it up with your case and other components. Read on as we check it out.
With a new fan design featuring Noctua's Vortex-Control Notches and included Ultra Low Noise Adapters, the D14 is not only an awesomely effective cooler, but also extremely quiet at the same time. For those seeking a quality cooling solution without yielding up quite so much real estate, Noctua offers a revamped version of their popular NH-C12P, now designated the SE14. Included is the same NF-P14 140mm cooling fan found on the D14, coupled with what Noctua refers to as their "C-shaped" cooler, featuring six heatpipes connecting the copper base to a large array of aluminum fins oriented parallel to the motherboard.
The Scythe Big Shuriken is actually a really small heatsink, well not so much tiny as low profile. From the CPU to the top of the fan, the Big Shuriken measures a scant 57mm tall. That's not a whole lot of space to cram in a heatsink, but somehow Scythe have packed in four 6mm diameter heatpipes, 60 or 70 razor thin aluminum fins and a 120mm fan.

Afin de satisfaire cette catégorie d'utilisateur, Thermalright, l'un des principaux acteurs du marché de l'air cooling, a lancé au mois de juillet dernier un monstre nommé HR-2. Capable de venir à bout des CPU les plus calorifères actuellement sur le marché sans la moindre ventilation directe, il sait aussi fonctionner de manière plus conventionnelle une fois associé à un ventilateur de 120 ou 140mm. Le HR-2 est un modèle qui, grâce à sa polyvalence, pourrait séduire un large public. Mais trêve de blabla, laissons place aux tests et voyons de quoi est capable cet engin !
Cooler Master have recently brought several Notebook Coolers to the market, including the NotePal LapAir that we recently reviewed. Today is the turn of the Infinite Evo Notebook Cooler, which could be classed as the big brother of the NotePal LapAir. It is at least more likely to be a serious contender in terms of cooling as they have thrown in some powerful fans as well as a superb looking airflow design.
Yup, this isn’t a press release or a tease… this is the only review on the new NZXT FX Enthusiast Fan series that I know of on the Internets at the time of this writing.
If you’re familiar with the NZXT brand, then you’re probably a loyal customer and not only have a few of their cases, but some of their matching case accessories like their Sentry line of fan controllers. NZXT does a great job with getting all of their stuff to match and look great, so having an NZXT-only rig will certainly get some attention from the ladies… or at least the only girl at the LAN party… who is probably only there because her boyfriend drug her along and she plays Bejeweled or Facebook games all day to pass the time.
