Prolimatech are a brand that made their name with some seriously high end products. We’ve already taken a look at a couple of cheaper CPU coolers from Prolimatech – the Samuel 17 and Panther – and we found them to be kind-of average for the price point. Yet we know that Prolimatech are not an average brand and when they make product they are accustomed to making they excel at it. Today we have one of those products from Prolimatech that is renowned throughout the cooling industry – the Megahalems. However, this isn’t just any Megahalems because the Megahalems has been out for a while now. This is the special black Megahalems the is specially coated in al all black heatsink design with a black powder coat. Furthermore, Prolimatech have even gone to the trouble of coating the mounting parts as well.
Nothing has changed since the original Megahalems in terms of the physical specifications, which you can see below. What has changed is this cooler now looks more awesome than ever and has a slightly higher price tag for the extra work Prolimatech have done to it. Interestingly this is the first time I have looked at Prolimatech’s Megahalems so it will be interesting to see what it has in store for us.

Prolimatech’s Genesis CPU cooler has been out for a while now and I myself have read a tonne of reviews on this rather freakish looking CPU cooler from Prolimatech. Put simply they’ve been a mixed bag, some people have raved about how innovative the design is and how good the performance is while others have called it out for being over-priced and lacking performance for its size. Today I am hoping to give you my own take on the Prolimatech Genesis, and we’ve got the slightly newer black variant in for testing. I will be putting the Prolimatech Genesis through the usual battery of tests and then seeing at the end of it all if I think it deserves one of our awards. These days I seem to be becoming increasingly stingy with my awards and I really look for something special so the Prolimatech Genesis is going to have to pull something good out of the bag.

ProlimaTech and the Armageddon, totally surpassing all other coolers benchmarked today, delivered outstanding performance. Personally, I’m very impressed with the Armageddon, and it’s only real fault is the mounting system. Priced at sixty-five dollars, the Armageddon is in the same ballpark as most other high-end coolers, but does not include fans.

In this review I will be looking at a new product from a relative newcomer to the world of pc cooling yet possibly one of the best known suppliers of enthusiast air coolers, the company is Prolimatech and the cooler of theirs I will be looking at is the Armageddon, coming from a name like Prolimatech I expecting nothing short of VERY good results. Let’s hope I am not disappointed.

We tested Prolimatech Armageddon CPU cooler, which has a slim heatsink, six U-shaped heatpipes, and supports two 140-mm fans.

The aftermarket heatsink industry is very competitive, and manufacturers often release several product designs before finally scoring a win with enthusiasts and overclockers. The Megahalems was ProlimaTech's first run at CPU-cooler's, and a very sucessful one at that. Earning our Editor's Choice Award and countless accolades from other websites, ProlimaTech has built high expectations with their follow-up products. The ProlimaTech Armageddon is one such cooling solution with a legacy to fill, and with six heatpipes and enough finsink area for two 140mm fans it seems a reasonable possability.

After a long hiatus with TweakTown, Prolimatech delivered the Armageddon Blue Series CPU cooler to have a look at. Let's see how it performs.
