Mit diesem Test von 11 verschiedenen Wärmeleitpasten will ich überprüfen, welche versprechen von den Herstellern gehalten werden und welche nicht.
Riesenauswahl – doch welcher Lüfter hält, was versprochen wird. Wir wollen dies mit einem ausführlichen Lüftervergleich darstellen. Recently we reviewed the NH-U12S from Noctua, an efficiently designed tower cooler sized to combat most of the negative aspects that air coolers tend to face and we were pleasantly surprised by the performance. Today we take a look at the much larger NH-U14S from Noctua with a similar focus reasonable sizing and space for RAM and other board components while still bringing that top tier Noctua performance we have all come to expect. In October last year Intel released processors based on the socket 1366 architecture and with these came a requirement for redesigned heatsink install methods. Essentially the distance between corners of the heatsink increased (as did the processor footprint) and existing high end coolers were no longer compatible with new motherboards.
Some manufacturers have managed to rework their heatsink kits to include new components for 1366 compatibility while others have released new models for the Core-i7 processors and today we have four of these products on our test bench.

The guys over at Enermax were kind enough to send me their silver Apollish in both the 120mm and 80mm sizes. I opened the packaging (another thing I like about Enermax; their packaging isn't hard to open) and removed the fans from the respective molded plastic enclosure. They really are very striking to look at. The silver finish is better than most chrome jobs on classic cars. The holograph Enermax logo adds that finishing touch of luster to the fan.
