When it comes to 120mm fans, we've all become used to the norm - which is that fans compete on noise level, cooling performance and aesthetics. However, today we have something quite innovative from Gelid. We have the Slim 12 UV Blue and Slim 12 PL Blue fans. Both are reduced width fans measuring in at 15.8mm instead of 25mm allowing for greater compatibility. The big question that most of you will want to know is does a thinner fan mean less performance? This is something will will now go on and answer for you in this review.

Today we are taking a look at a CPU cooler that is very different to the types of CPU coolers we normally look at. We are examining the Gelid Slim Silence A-Plus. This is an ultra compact CPU cooler designed for AMD sockets AM2/AM2+/AM3/AM3+/FM1/FM2 that has been designed specifically for small form factor uses. The Slim Silence A Plus comes in at just 28mm high meaning it is perfect for 1U servers where the maximum total height per shelf is 44.45 mm which also includes the motherboard and RAM. It is difficult for us to test this up against many competitors because we know of very few - even the Noctua NH-L9a at 38mm high is too high for a 1U server. Despite this we will still be comparing this against the AMD reference stock cooler that is roughly 60mm high to get a grasp on what kind of performance the Gelid Slim Silence A-Plus offers.

High performance air heatsinks are becoming rarer these days, compared to a few years back, as many companies have turned their attention towards all in one water coolers instead of air heatsinks. Thankfully there are still companies endeavouring to innovate in the air heatsink market and today we are taking a look at the latest product innovation from Gelid Solutions. The Gelid Solutions Black Edition has been on our radar since Computex 2012 and Gelid Solutions used CES 2013 in Las Vegas as the springboard to launch this new product.
With 7 heatpipes, two 120mm fans and a relatively compact form factor the Gelid Solutions Black Edition CPU cooler looks like a nice balance between functionality, noise, performance and style. I am very excited to take a look at this new product from Gelid Solutions which now becomes their latest and greatest flagship product. You can check out the full specifications here but a couple of things worth noting, aside from the obvious CPU cooler "stuff", is that this product boasts a huge 5 year warranty and included GC-Extreme thermal paste - one of the best, if not the best, thermal pastes on the market. But without any further ado let us take this bad boy for a spin and see how it performs.

Gelid Solutions are a company we have worked with in the past, we reviewed their excellent Icy Vision VGA cooler. The standard, in terms of my expectations have been set high because of that product, but we won't let pre-determined ideas get in the way of making a fair review. As usual we will be taking the Gelid GX-7 and judging it in terms of performance, acoustics, design, price and functionality (mainly ease of mounting).

Today we are looking at the GELID Rev. 2 Tranquillo Silent CPU tower cooler. The Rev. 2 Tranquillo is an updated version of the Tranquillo. The new Rev. 2 features a new updated mounting system, base, and heatpipe arrangement. Join us as we see how well it performs on our Intel Core i7-930 test system at both stock and overclocking settings.

Today we are back again with another multi-heatpipe CPU cooler, this time from one of the larger names in performance cooling. Gelid Solutions has been around since 2008 and have proven themselves to be manufactures of quality cooling products and accessories. Slated for the test bench is The Black Edition, a seven heatpipe air cooler that promises both quiet operation and high end performance. Will this cooler be able to stand up to our tests and impress or be relegated to the bottom self and forgotten? Let’s find out.

To kick off things here at Verdis Reviews, we are going to start with the GELID WING 12 UV Blue case fan. With so many system fans on the market, manufacturers have to come up with new and innovative ideas in order to sell their latest products. In this particular instance GELID Solutions, a relatively new company, have made a real effort to jazz this fan up: UV light, fan removal, patented nanoflux bearings and tool-less installation. All of these features should help to make this fan stand out from the crowd. Let’s see whether it can achieve just this…

Gelid Solutions are a company that specialise in high quality cooling solutions. Like all good cooling companies they produce their own fans in-house, something that is always nice to see. They sell these fans as individual retail items which is great if you have bought a Gelid product and want to pick up another fan or if you just like the fans they sell.
