Let's test the Deepcool ICE BLADE PRO V2.0 CPU cooler, which has a tower heatsink with four direct-touch 8 mm heatpipes and one 120 mm fan with blue LEDs. Check it out!

The Silverstone Heligon HE02 is being sold as a passive heatsink for sub-95W TDP processors, so today on Frostytech we'll put this big, boxy, silent heatsink through its passive paces. No fans will be used in the testing, just good old noise-less convection cooling. We should note that wire fan clips are supplied for users who wish to add two 120mm fans.

On Frostytech's test bench today is the Silverstone Heligon HE01 (SST-HE01) heatsink, an interesting asymmetric dual tower CPU cooler built for Intel LGA2011/1366/1156/1155/775 and AMD socket AM2/AM3/FM1/FM2 processors. At the heart of the heatsink is a massive 140mm vaneaxial fan, flanked by differently sized fin stacks which correspond to intake and exhaust air flows. On the cool air-intake side of the fan is a 30mm thick fin tower with a straight row of heatpipes intersecting the fins. On the hot exhaust side we find a slightly wider, 50mm thick fin tower constructed from slightly thicker aluminum fins.

Lets test the Noctua NH-L9i, a low-profile CPU cooler with a 92 mm fan and only 1.46 (37 mm) tall. Check it out!

Noctua is company known for high quality and excellent performing CPU coolers and fans. It’s safe to say that most of their product line is aimed at the high end user who wants to push their system or CPU to the limits. Enthusiasts, or overclockers they would be called, and that’s all fine and good if you’re that type of person, Noctua certainly has a cooler for you that will keep your CPU cool even under overclocked conditions. What happens if you’re not one of those types of people? What about those who really don’t care much about overclocking, or those that much prefer an SFF or HTPC style system? Your choices are pretty limited when it comes to choosing a CPU cooler that is quiet and yet performs well and one that’s high quality. Noctua has a solution for you now, they’ve ventured into making coolers made for more cramped systems, and they’ve brought all of their knowledge and skills from making enthusiast style coolers to do this so you can expect a top-notch product . They’ve come out with two of these coolers, one of which I have for review today called the NH-L9i, where the ‘I’ in the name stands for Intel, the other cooler is the NH-L9a which is for AMD CPUs specifically. So I have the NH-L9i for review and I’ve put it up against a larger Noctua cooler for comparison as I was curious to see how well this tiny cooler would perform. So Read on…

The five CPU coolers reviewed today include the Corsair H100i, the Cooler Master Seidon 240M, the Phanteks PH-TC14PE, the Noctua NH-D14 SE2011, and the Zalman CNPS 12X. Each of these coolers are considered flagship coolers for each respective company, so let’s see how they stack up against each other...
