Cooler Master's V10 is impressive in many respects. Size and stature are reassuringly large, but fitment may be an issue for some motherboards and cases. The engineering innovation and design are quite nice, as is the fit and finish. Unfortunately, the high cost and potentially troublesome installation leave something to be desired. Frankly, there are better performing coolers out there that are half the price, easier to install and perform just as well.
Aircooling
If you are looking to extract the most performance out of any given processor you need it to stay cool. It doesn't matter if you go with Air, Water, or even Phase Change you still need some thermal interface compound between the cooler and the CPU. Maingear has been using the mother of all TIM's in their custom builds and now they are making available for everyone. Is this really the best TIM money can buy? Legit installs it into one of our high end water cooled rigs to find out.

Technic3D hat den Scythe Ashura Shadow CPU-Kühler im Test. Was Scythe an der limitierten Version des Ashura Kühler verändert hat, steht im folgenden Artikel.

Lets test the Dark Knight Night Hawk Edition CPU cooler from Xigmatek. It has a black ceramic-coated tower heatsink, three 8 mm heatpipes and one 120 mm fan.
Aircooling
Aircooling
Today we tested the Musashi VGA cooler from Scythe, which has a large but thin heatsink, two heatpipes, and two 100-mm slim fans. Check it out!

Noctua's premium range of fans is vast and we have looked at many of their fans, you can see our reviews below. They produce fans that cater for cases, heatsinks and radiators in a variety of sizes and speeds to suit almost every need. Most importantly though is that they all live up to the same high quality standards, feature silent operation, an extensive bundle and long warranties with excellent customer service.

The Cougar Dual-X is designed to push a large amount of air while maintain silence. The Dual-X accomplishes this by using a hydraulic bearing so there is less friction. The nine blades of the fan have two layers and are rigid material. The blade design also features claws. The combination of these features allow the fan to produce more pressure while decreasing turbulence and noise levels. Other noise reducing features are rubber pads and rubber fixed pin mounts to reduce the vibrations that are transferred into the chassis. Accessories include a 3-pin to 4-pin Molex fan adapter, tool-less fixed pins, and fan screws.

Standing 157mm tall, Xigmatek's Thor's Hammer heatsink tips the scales at 800 grams and has a rather boxy footprint of 120 x 116mm. It accomodates one or two 120mm fans that mount to the fins with special rubber vibration absorbing posts. No fans are supplied with the Xigmatek S126384 heatsink, allowing users to pick a high speed 120mm fan or ultra quiet model of their liking

The Hyper 212 EVO is a CPU cooler with tower heatsink, four U-shaped direct-touch heatpipes and a 120 mm fan. It is obvious by the name that this cooler is an evolution of the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus, which we tested last year. The main difference is the base of the coolers, as we will discuss later in this review.
