Build quality is obviously an important thing to take into account when purchasing a product. Even the best performing piece of hardware is useless if it falls to pieces soon after you buy it. Today, ASE Labs has the Evercool Royal Notebook Cooler which is a product designed to survive the rigors of daily use and look good doing it. But how does this cooler fit for a king really hold up?

Here at eTeknix we are always looking to work with a wide variety of companies. Big or small, we will always take the time to give their products a thorough going over and produce an honest and objective review on it.

The Evercool Silent Shark is distinctly one of the most unique, and imposing, looking dual tower coolers on the market today. The Evercool Silent Shark presents itself in the case with a black embossed shroud with design and logo covering the dual aluminum finned towers and two 120mm fans. The towers of the Silent Shark have an offset, with the front tower leaning slightly forward. The front SSF-12 vortex fan can be tilted at a 30 degree angle down toward the motherboard to enhance air movement to other components, specifically the VRM, and provide cooling where it is most needed. The center silent fan is fixed between the two towers and attached to the center shroud. The Silent Shark uses six 6mm copper heatpipes along with a copper contact block for excellent enhanced heat transfer and dissipation. Evercool equips the Silent Shark with a multi-platform installation kit that is compatible with all of the latest Intel (775/1155/1156/1366/2012) and AMD (FM1/2, AM2/2+/3/3+) platforms.

While being outperformed in the standard load test, she was still a meaner creature when it came to snacking on heat on an overclocked CPU. So while the Shark isn’t the absolute best, it’s certainly near the top of its food chain.

It’s been a while since I’ve reviewed any CPU coolers here on TestFreaks, not sure why, but I’ve got one now from Evercool called the Silent Shark. This cooler is big and it includes two 120mm fans that help to keep you CPU cool. The cooler also has a very unique feature that allows the user to angle the front fan up and outwards letting it clear the ram slots allowing you to use ram with larger style heatsinks on it. The cooler performs very well overall so read on to learn more and see just how it performs against another cooler….

Evercool has released a mid-range CPU heat sink that performs exactly the way they intended it to. Equipped with 3 heat pipes running through slim, attractive aluminum fins, cooled by a powerful 2200RPM 120mm fan (with room for an additional 120mm fan), the Transformer 3 nudges dangerously close to the territory of performance heat sinks. It would be very interesting to see how far the Transformer 3 could go with an additional 120mm fan.

Let's test the Transformer 3 CPU cooler from Evercool, which has a tower heatsink with three heatpipes and a 120 mm fan. Check it out!

Today we are going to examine the Evercool Transformer 3 CPU cooler. The cooler is a tower style heatsink that uses direct touch heatpipe technology to increase it’s performance capabilities and it is compatible with both AMD and Intel processors. Today we will be conducting our testing on the AMD AM3 platform.

Looking back into my files, I see it has been almost three years since I have looked at a cooler From Evercool. What is even better, is that the last cooler I looked at is the big brother to what we are about to see. Digging way back into the server, I was able to find the Transformer 4 that lends its name and a similar color theme, but that is really where the similarities stop in relation to the cooler we are about to have a look at. Where the Transformer 4 had four heat pipes and two fans, the newer version has less, but both keep the chromed 120mm fan to compliment the cooler.

Today we are looking at the EVERCOOL Transformer 3 HDT CPU Cooler. The Transformer 3 is EVERCOOL's newest budget offering released earlier this year. Transformer 3 is equipped with a 12cm silent PWM fan, special designed cooling fins and three U-shape heat pipes with H.D.T Tech to help provide excellent cooling performance. Join us to see how well the EVERCOOL Transformer 3 does on our Intel Core i7-930 test system.
