The Silverstone Argon series AR01 and AR02 coolers are designed to deliver excellent cooling performance for budget conscious system builders. Both AR01 and AR02 heatsinks use Heat-pipe Direct Contact technology for efficient thermal conductivity and have a slimmer 50mm width, which is intended to provide maximum RAM height clearance, even with a 25mm fan installed. The Argon AR01 stands 159mm tall and supports 120mm fans while the Argon AR02 is shorter at 134mm with 92mm fan support.

Today we have with us a new fan from SilverStone, the AP123. These fans fall into the AirPenetrator series of products and are designed specifically to be used as case fans. They feature a unique design with three different fan blades inside the same fan which optimises their noise output when placed up against grilles.

Well jeez guys, who doesn't get hot and sweaty when gaming or overclocking their monster rig? Well never fear my friends, Silverstone has you covered. Introducting the AP121 USB Desktop Fan. It's a 12cm impeller in a circular frame of variable colours that's USB Powered! What's not to love?

Is it an improvement from the past even if the specs don't say so? Let's see how the testing goes.

The focus of today's review is one of SilverStones latest coolers. From the Heligon series the HE01 supports all recent CPU sockets and has one of the chunkiest bundled fans we have seen, as well as the option to install two more on the heatsink if we wish.

The HE02 is a CPU cooler from SilverStone that has a tower heatsink, six heatpipes, and can be used in passive mode, i.e., without any fan. Let's test it and see if it really works well without a fan.

As you can guess from their name, Silenx has built their reputation around quiet PC accessories. Their IXC-120HA2 CPU cooler easily lives up to this reputation by being, well, very quiet. Even with its modest fan speeds, this cooler did an excellent job of cooling the Q6600 during testing. That is, until I added some voltage and clock cycles. When your packaging boldly states, “designed for gamers and overclockers,” you'd better bring more performance to the table that the IXC-120HA2 does.

I am pleased to say everything went well and I now have the pleasure of bringing you a near silent CPU cooling solution that delivers good performance and won’t hit that hard in the wallet when you go to buy one. What you may notice along the way is that this cooler looks oddly familiar. It should; aside from a few minor tweaks it is very similar to the XtremeGear HP-1216. The major difference of course is the noise levels. The XG used a loud fan to get its results, where SilenX chose a more quiet solution, or in their words, “Extreme Silent”.

Standing 125mm tall, the SilenX EFZ-92HA3 heatsink is equipped with a single 92mm fan that rotates at 2200-800RPM. It has space for a second 92mm fan on the back side (rubber mounts included). At full fan speed the heatsink is pretty quiet, in part due to the fan SilenX have selected and in part because it's mounted on rubber posts which help to dampen vibrations. This diminutive cooler weighs 422grams and installs onto Intel socket 775/1155/1156/1366 and AMD socket 754/939/940/AM2/AM3/FM1 processors.
