Today we have the second HSF offering from Phanteks. The Phanteks PH-TC14CS is a down draft CPU cooler, rather than a standard tower cooler. With Dual Phanteks PH-F140 Premium 140mm fans and five 8mm heatpipes it looks like this cooler should perform pretty well. Join us as we put Phanteks PH-TC14CS CPU cooler to the test on our Intel LGA2011 test bench and see how it can handle the heat.

Let's test the NH-U9B SE2 CPU cooler from Noctua. This cooler has a tower heatsink, four U-shaped heatpipes, and two 92 mm fans

Spire tries to bring life to an old design and delivers the TherMax Eclipse III. Warning, it's not pretty.

Often built into micro-ATX or smaller chassis, HTPC aficionados demand small size and silent operation over sheer performance. Noctua aims to target the HTPC crowd with the release of their latest cooler, the NH-L12. Following in the footsteps of their C-Type NH-C14 that we reviewed here last year, the L12 offers a similar top-flow design in a slimmer, lower profile, while retaining a dual-fan configuration and incorporating their latest F-Series Focused-Flow PWM fan.

Let's test the Frio Extreme, a huge CPU cooler from Thermaltake. It has two twin heatsinks, six heatpipes, and two 140 mm fans. We have already tested three members of this family of CPU coolers: the Frio, the Frio OCK, and the Frio Advanced. The first two are excellent coolers, but we were very disappointed with the Frio Advanced. The Frio Extreme that we are testing now seems to be the most aggressive family member.
Aircooling
Noctua did not venture to break any cooling records with the NH-L12 but rather to give HTPC and small form factor users a quality cooler and this goal was reached. With just a single NF-B9 92mm fan the NH-L12 stands at just 66mm and Low Noise Adapters make this an ideal package for replacing that stock fan in any configuration. Noctua’s SecuFirm2 mounting system makes installation a snap and holds the NH-L12 securely in place. A premium package gives you everything you need for installation including hardware to mount an unused fan in your case, that is going a step beyond in my book.
