ZEROtherm boasts this cooler can handle up to 200W of CPU load before it feels any ill effects. ZEROtherm did ship a fan along with my sample, and I was surprised to see they shipped a 43 CFM ZT-120F fan to cool the new entrant. I realize silence is a main concern for most, but a 40 CFM fan isn't typically capable of much real help in cooling a tower cooler. So, if in fact I can produce good results with said fan, it will prove that the cooler is indeed efficient.

The latest product we are looking at today from Thermaltake is not designed to replace the FRIO, more to compliment it. This cooler is called the JING, which Thermaltake say means ‘silence’. We prefer the chinese medical definition meaning ‘essence, genetic makeup, or life’. This rather dramatically named product has been created to capture a portion of the FRIO’s cooling performance while remaining as quiet as possible – Thermaltake rate it at a grass whispering 16dBA. At this noise level it is capable of dealing with 200 watts of heat, which we will test later.

With three GTX 470s folding all the time, or at least when I’m not gaming, the heat that gets dumped into the room with stock coolers can be unbearable to say the least. Not only do they allow for rather high temperatures, there isn’t a set of headphones that I own that can drown out the sound of the fans at anything over 80% speed. Along the way I ended up with water cooling two of the 470s and the third sat across the room on the stock cooler awaiting a replacement to improve on both the heat level and sound levels.

Prolimatech has done a great job with their new entry in the Megahalems series cooler, the Super Mega, offering the PC enthusiast community top-notch performance in a well-engineered product with excellent fit and finish. Support for the latest Intel platforms and the new look resulting from the copper fins are icing on the cake, and they've managed to boost performance as well.

PC Games Hardware testet den Xigmatek Gaia, einen schmalen Turmkühler von Xigmatek mit 120-mm-Lüfter. Aufgrund seines niedrigen Preises von 25 Euro ist er besonders für Sparfüchse interessant.

Not too long ago, I took a look at the Noctua NH-U9B SE2. Today I am going to compare that to the Arctic Freezer 13 from Arctic Cooling. Arctic has long been known for their cooling products, but has also branched out into peripherals as of late. Taking a look at one of their core products, the Freezer 13, should make for a nice comparison against the recently reviewed Noctua heatsink.

Corsair's A50 CPU cooler is an excellent cooling solution for the user who wishes to upgrade from the OEM cooler for quieter operation and more overclocking headroom. Corsair positions the A50 as an upgrade to the OEM cooler and not as a premium, maximum-effort air cooler.

Deepcool's Ice Matrix 400 heatsink is a relatively thin profile tower cooler that stands 160mm tall, but is only 71mm deep. It weighs upwards of 1030grams and is built with no fewer than four, 6mm diameter copper heatpipes. As with DeepCool's previously tested heatsinks, the Ice Matrix 400 ships with a novel kind of fan that skips the whole rubber-fan-post fad for a resilient layer of rubber in the fan frame itself.

A couple of weeks ago a company that we hadn’t heard much about before asked if we would like to look at some of their fans. So imagine our surprise when a huge box, about the size you would expect for a PC case, arrived from said company.
