Dabei ist der Name Xtreme Programm: Sowohl bei den Abmessungen, Lüfterzahl, Heatpipes, Gewicht als auch dem Preis setzt der Kühler Maßstäbe und soll doch auch mit einem geringen Betriebsgeräusch und einer einfachen Handhabung und hohen Kompatibilität punkten. Today we are going to look at a CPU cooler from Evercool, their latest low profile solution, the HPL-815. The HPL-815 should fit well in the HTPC market. The fan used on this cooler is a mere 15mm thick and spins between 1,000 and 4,000 RPM. When spinning at 2,200 RPM it is rated at less than 20 dBA which should be ideal for a low noise media center build.

Right about the middle of this past February, I got a random email from a company rep. asking if we wanted to take a look at their new cooler. The mail came from a company named AURAS Technologies. Noctua are one of the best CPU cooler manufacturers around, their CPU coolers have pushed air cooling to new highs over the last few years and most importantly, their NH-D14 was and still is one of the best on the market. The rule generally goes that if something isn’t broken, it doesn’t need fixing, but the NH-D14 is getting a little older now and the competition from companies like be quiet! and Thermaltake (to name but a few) means that Noctua have to do something to stay relevant. The NH-D15 is based on the NH-D14 design, but brings with a it a few tweaks and improvements that Noctua hope will help them compete with many of the newer rival products.
The CoolIT Systems Domino A.L.C. CPU cooler is quite an interesting concept. I like that more and more companies are designing compact, sealed units for the enthusiast. This makes it much more affordable for those who want to get into liquid cooling without the expense of having to know exactly what to buy. The fact that this is a completely sealed unit makes it that much nicer.
