Aircooling
Cooler Master are one of the first to bring the vapour chamber to CPU coolers, but is it any good?

APH Networks reviews the Cooler Master TPC 812. How well do the Vertical Vapor Chambers work along with the heatpipes?
Aircooling
The newest CPU cooler from the traditional manufacturer, Cooler Master, is the TPC 812, which has a tower heatsink with a 120 mm fan, six U-shaped heatpipes, and two vapor chambers. Let's see if it really offers the "True Performance Cooling" that its name suggests.
Aircooling
It's been a while since we have had a CPU cooler from Cooler Master on the test bench. Well, today we have the Cooler Master TPC 812 tower cooler. With the TPC 812 Cooler Master is pairing up Vertical Vapor Chambers with traditional heatpipes to improve performance. Join us as we see just how well the Cooler Master TPC 812 performs on our Intel LGA2011 test bench.

Every once in awhile new tech, a new process, or a new material comes along and totally changes the way things are done. The innovation is so advanced that the rest of the industry must adapt or die. Recently Cooler Master, the well established cooling product company, released the TPC 812 air cooler with it’s latest innovation “vertical vapor chambers”. Is this new cooling technique the future of heat removal technology? Or is this just some new gimmick to convince potential customers to buy? Follow along as we find out!
Aircooling
Cooler Master claims that the TPC 812 can deliver the performance of a compact watercooler in a simple tower cooler design and, based on our benchmarking results, we can believe that.
Aircooling
Introducing the only cooler to currently offer vapor chamber cooling for CPUs, the TPC 812 from Cooler Master.
Aircooling
Late last year Cooler Master surprised friend and foe alike with the TPC-800, a CPU cooler with six heatpipes and a Vertical Vapor Chamber (basically a large, flattened heatpipe). The TPC-800 cooled really well, and combined with the right fan it was very quiet. It made such a good impression we gave the TPC-800 the Hardware.Info Gold Award at the time. It was expensive, however, so now Cooler Master comes with the TPC-612.
Aircooling
The Cooler Master TPC-812 is the latest in Cooler Master’s heatpipe vertical vapor chamber designs. Not to confuse it all. These vapor chambers are not inside the heatpipes as you might have seen or heard before. The vapor chambers are separate from the heatpipes and work in addition to the heatpipes. The 6 heatpipes by themselves should make for some good cooling performance but combined with the vapor chambers this could be a fierce competitor. Cooler Master also improved the fan clip-on design. The screw holes are no longer covered by the foam padding. We will explore more of this in detail later in this review.
