Today for review I've got another CPU cooler, but this one is a bit special in that it's a liquid cooling system that's truly an all-in-one solution. It's called the ECO A.L.C. and it's from CoolIt. The ECO ALC is very small, and it's compatible with most every CPU out there. The pump is actually integrated into the water block that goes onto your CPU and the fan and radiator are attached to each other so all you've got to do is take a few minutes and install it like you would most other coolers out there. There's no fuss, no mess, no running tubing, it's ready to go out of the box, there's even thermal compound pre-applied so you don't even have to do that. I've put it up against a couple other air coolers for comparison so read on to see how it performs..

Thermaltake has an incredible cooler on their hands. The Frio is designed to cool all modern processors, even while overclocked, and it should do so very well. Thermaltake even includes a second 120mm fan in the box, so if you want the additional cooling that a push-pull configuration can provide, you don't have to purchase anything else.

We benchmarked Vortex Plus from Cooler Master, a CPU cooler targeted to compact cases, with four heatpipes and a 92-mm fan. Check it out!

Today I've got an exciting review for you, well not really, it's a fan, how exciting can that be right? It does have an interesting design though, the blades are dimpled like a golf ball and supposedly reduce noise levels by up to 15%, while still running at the same speed and providing the same amount of air flow as other fans. The fan is a 140mm fan from Zaward called the Golf GII, so read on to check it out.

A new method being pioneered by Coolink is a heatsink base that removes the gaps typical of core contact cooler designs. In doing so they can provide the benefits of a core contact design with a completely smooth surface between the CPU and the heatsink.

Last year, due to excessive heat in the upstairs where my desktop PCs are, I bit the bullet and bought myself a laptop. It’s nothing special; I really only needed it for Outlook and to be able to find a cooler spot to write my reviews in the summer. With that in mind, I found that I tended to get a hot lap when using the notebook even when the ambient temps were low. That drove me to locating a foam product that would get the laptop off my lap and solve one of the issues. While it got the heat off my legs, It did very little for ridding the laptop of its own heat produced. In this laptop, the hard drive poses the biggest heat issue as it can almost burn the palm of my hand when typing.

With the vast selection of coolers on the market today it is hard to know which model to purchase. Will an £18 Thermaltake Contac 29 do the job or do you really need to spend over £60 on a Noctua NH D14 ? To make matters even more confusing there are some ‘all in one’ liquid cooling solutions from Corsair and Coolit, which offer low noise levels and high performance with small CPU mounting blocks.
