If i had to guess what most of your reading these lines right now use to keep the temperatures of your CPUs in check chances are that most of you are still using regular CPU air coolers and why not since they can provide excellent cooling efficiency without asking for much in return like custom watercooling kits and even some AIO models? Unfortunately as I’ve already mentioned numerous times in the past CPU air coolers have reached a level of performance which i really doubt they will ever be able to surpass (AIO solutions might) but in the long run they may not have to since miniaturization (smaller manufacturing process) tends to reduce power requirements and thus temperatures. With the same reasoning in mind Noctua recently announced several "compact" CPU air coolers but for people wanting something more without however having to worry about clearance issues they also released a "tweaked" version of their flagship NH-D15 model which they named the NH-D15S.

Much like mechanical drives and solid state drives regular CPU air coolers are nowhere near to be replaced by the rather new in comparison AIO (all in one) liquid CPU coolers. When the first "serious" AIO models made their appearance just over a year ago some of us did think that it wouldn't take long for that to happen but since to date AIO models haven't really achieved much higher cooling performance compared to high-end CPU air coolers it will obviously take longer for that to happen (if of course something new and better comes along until then). Because of that it doesn't really come as a surprise that there are many manufacturers out there that still focus in the design and manufacture of CPU air coolers one of which is Scythe and today with us we have their latest Ninja 4 model.

Continuing on from the Noctua NH-C14S review, we have another revision of another Noctua cooler. This time the flagship NH-D15 gets the treatment in the form of the NH-D15S. The Noctua NH-C14S is a really impressive cooler and a typical Noctua design, unusual but sublime in its execution.

Deepcool’s original Assassin CPU cooler came out in 2013 and one one of the largest and best performing coolers available. 2014 brought in the Lucifer, which we tested and it proved to be one of the best coolers available at the time. It is now 2015 and Deepcool has released the successor to the original Assassin, the Assassin II. This massive air cooler features a dual tower design, two cooling fans (140mm and 120mm), 8 nickel-plated copper heatpipes and its own 4-port fan hub. Can this cooler reign supreme like Deepcool’s previous two coolers? Read on as we find out…

Last week, we reviewed the Noctua NH-D15S. Now it is time for the latest C-series cooler from Noctua. How will the latest NH-C14S tep up against the original NH-C14?

Enthusiasts, hardcore gamers, overclockers and professionals may all belong in different segments of the market but they do share some similarities one of which is that they usually spend quite a bit in order to get one of the many CPU cooling solutions in the market from regular air coolers and A.I.O systems up to custom watercooling kits and in some extremely rare cases even external Freon units. The same however doesn't apply for casual users who're always looking for a regular CPU air cooler with the best possible balance between value and performance. Luckily compared to even just 5 years ago there's a vast number of such models in the market currently and one of the most recent ones is the H7 by Cryorig.
