The Arctic Freezer i30 is a CPU cooler with a tower heatsink, one 120 mm fan and four 8 mm heatpipes targeted to Intel CPUs. Lets test it!

The Glacialtech X-Wing R1 notebook cooling pad accomodates chronically overheating notebooks with footprints of up to 365x250mm, either while sitting on a desk or resting comfortably on your lap. That means netbooks with screens as small as 7" and full size laptops with screens as wide as 17" should fit onto the X-Wing R1 without a problem. The bottom of the X-Wing is curved so it rests across your legs comfortably, without restricting airflow or cutting into you as some all-metal notebook cooling pads will.

Today we have the chance to put the NZXT HAVIK 140 CPU Cooler through its paces. This is the first retail CPU Cooler that NZXT have released and if size matters, they will have a winner on their hands! The HAVIK 140 uses six, 6mm heatpipes, 46 aluminum fins and dual 140mm fans to dissipate heat.

Today we look at the follow to the excellent Freezer Xtreme (Rev.2) CPU Cooler – the Freezer 13. The Freezer 13 has been redesigned from the ground up and features many improvements, including a new maximum cooling capacity of 200w (from 160w). Surprisingly in this age of ever increasing cooler sizes, it is also smaller, and features an incredible $25 price point. It also follows the tradition of Arctic’s high performance mainstream processor coolers by not requiring a backplate mounting system.

This little heatsink from Zalman is called the CNPS2X and it looks like it should be found on an entry level videocard, motherboard chipset or possibly a miniITX motherboard. It is small. To give an idea of how small, the impeller from a 120mm fan is larger than this entire heatsink.

The large top-down DeepCool Killer Whale Premium heatsink has a jaw dropping weight of 1,225grams, or 1.225kg. Connecting the hefty copper heatspreader on the Killer Whale Premium with the big array of copper cooling fins are six 6mm diameter heatpipes that are soldered to the former and press-fit over the latter. A large and moderately audible 48mm thick 120mm PWM fan hangs over the copper fins, spinning at 1000-1800RPM. The fan moves approximately 78CFM, while generating at most 52.6 dBA and at least 36 dBA noise
