The Frio OCK is one of Thermaltake’s most popular CPU coolers. The CPU cooler features a dual-tower heatsink design with 6 copper heatpipes and a very large copper CPU block. It comes with a removable shroud that has 2 large 130mm cooling fans attached to it. The fans have a VR fan knob that allows you to adjust the fan speeds. The FRIO OCK is compatible with all Intel sockets up to 2011 and AMD up to AM3. If you bought this cooler before Intel’s 2011 socket was released they will send you the 2011 installation hardware for free. Many people own this CPU cooler and we have been asked many times about the installation of the CPU cooler. So we have decided to make a video showing you how to install the Frio OCK. Noctua is well known for their excellent cooling products, when it comes to the enthusiast end of things Noctua knows what it's doing that's for sure. Many of Noctua's products are aimed at the high-end or enthusiast user who likes to overclock their systems and get the most out of them. Not everybody falls into that category though and they just want a decent cooling solution for their CPU, one that's quality made and one that's quiet. I for one prefer both in my systems with quiet being one of the more important things on my list of requirements for a CPU cooler. Making products for enthusiasts usually means big, but Noctua has recently introduced a cooler that's surprisingly not aimed at the enthusiast market, or at least not the overclockers out there anyway. The Noctua NH-L12 is a low-profile style cooler meant for smaller systems like small form factor or HTPC where space is quite limited. The NH-L12 is meant to keep your CPU cooler but yet keep things running quiet. Let's continue on...
The CPU cooler we are testing today is the Gammaxx 400, which has a tower heatsink with four U-shaped heatpipes and one 120 mm fan. Although this cooler is manufactured by Deepcool, it is now sold in the U.S. under the Logisys brand.
Thermaltake's Frio Advanced heatsink stands 161mm tall and weighs upwards of 954 grams, it is rated to heat loads of 230 Watts by the manufacturer. The heatsink ships with two 130mm PWM fans arranged in a push-pull configuration that rotate at 2000-800RPM. Behind each fan shroud is a 110mm tall aluminum fin tower connected by five U-shaped, 6mm diameter copper heatpipes which are exposed at the base. Thermaltake's Frio Advanced heatsink is compatible with Intel socket LGA2011/1366/1155/1156/775 and AMD socket AM2/AM3/FM1 CPUs.

Noctua did not venture to break any cooling records with the NH-L12 but rather to give HTPC and small form factor users a quality cooler and this goal was reached. With just a single NF-B9 92mm fan the NH-L12 stands at just 66mm and Low Noise Adapters make this an ideal package for replacing that stock fan in any configuration. Noctua’s SecuFirm2 mounting system makes installation a snap and holds the NH-L12 securely in place. A premium package gives you everything you need for installation including hardware to mount an unused fan in your case, that is going a step beyond in my book.
