The Phanteks PH-TC14PE (white) itself is a pretty standard dual tower, five-8mm-heatpipe-packing heatsink that retails for about $90 bucks. It stands 168mm tall and has a wide 144x161mm footprint that may have clearance issues on some motherboards where RAM slots and VRM heatsinks are too tall. The cooler weighs upwards of 1250 grams and ships with two 140mm PWM fans arranged in a push-pull configuration. The fans spin at 1200-900RPM and are anywhere from moderately audible to pretty quiet. On the plus side, the dual-fan set up does make this heatsink a good lower noise thermal solution, as you'll shortly see.

Sunbeamtech's Core-Contact Freezer 92mm heatsink stands 122mm tall, measures 97mm across and accommodates one or two 92mm fans. The heatsink ships with a single fan mounted on rubber vibration absorbing posts that spins at 1,200~2,200 RPM, extra rubber mounting posts are supplied. The all aluminum construction, apart from four 6mm copper heatpipes exposed at the base, keeps weight down to a feathery 272 grams. In all other respects the Sunbeam Core-Contact Freezer 92mm Edition is essentially a shrunken down version of its namesake. It will no doubt satisfy users looking for a sub-125mm tall cooler for compact PC cases.

In this review Frostytech is testing Titan's new Hati TTC-NC15TZ exposed heatpipe base CPU cooler. The TTC-NC15TZ is capable of very good performance results with the supplied 120mm PWM fan operating at full speed, however that trend quickly changes direction once fan speed is brought down for quieter operation... Like many tower heatsinks, the Hati TTC-NC15TZ heatsink has three exposed 8mm diameter direct contact heatpipes at the base.

Xigmatek’s CPU cooler line-up is a vast one. They offer many contenders in a variety of markets which cater for every target audience. We recently tested one of their high end products in the Aegir SD128264 and found it to be a good performer if just a tad over-priced. Today we will be looking at a younger brother of the Aegir, Xigmatek’s Gaia SD1283.

This time we are testing the Zalman CNPS11X Extreme CPU cooler. It has a V-shape heatsink, one 120 mm fan and five heatpipes. Let's check its performance.

Thermaltake has an incredible cooler on their hands. The Frio is designed to cool all modern processors, even while overclocked, and it should do so very well. Thermaltake even includes a second 120mm fan in the box, so if you want the additional cooling that a push-pull configuration can provide, you don't have to purchase anything else.

Most of us spend quite a bit of time picking out just the right chassis, case fans and coolers for our desktops but notebooks are often left out of the cooling game. There are, however, a few products out there that try to address this. One such product from Cooler Master is the NotePal ErgoStand that we have for review today. We have seen several different versions of notebook coolers, most opting to be a bit more portable than the ErgoStand which can be described as a more stationary stand. The ErgoStand comes with a fan speed control and a 4-port USB hub built into the stand.
