Are you tired of that old heatsink? Is your CPU overheating or are just looking for something snazzy to be placed on your motherboard? Well, maybe you should take a peak at Thermaltake's Big Typ 14Pro. Thermaltake's heatsinks have been winning armloads of awards for quite a few years now. If the massive 140mm fan doesn't get your attention, then maybe the copper heatpipes and the bright blue LED's will.

Today we are going to review a cooler but we believe only hardware enthusiasts are interested with it; a motherboard chipset cooler. Coolink ChipChilla is a large 6mm heat pipe cooler with a quiet 60mm fan which is created to solve today high end but burning chipsets. Let us see what this cooler capability compares with original chipset cooler.

In all other regards Coolermaster's Hyper TX3 heatsink is a compact mid-level heatsink suitable for use on AMD socket 745/939/940/AM2/AM3 processors and Intel socket 775/1156 chips (not LGA1366 however). The Hyper TX3 heatsink weighs in at 470 grams, stands less than 140mm tall, and comes equipped with a low noise 92mm 800-2800RPM PWM fan that drives 17-54CFM according the manufacturer. The heatsink is built around three skinny 6mm diameter copper heatpipes that connect a small aluminum base to the 92x92mm tower of aluminum cooling fins.

Another CPU cooler from Thermaltake with direct heat base and good specifications. The included fan is not as powerful as we would like and the results weren't up to the competition. On the other hand is quiet but again the retail price is high enough.

There are all sorts of laptop coolers on the market, but OCIA.net has only seen a few of them. Back in February of last year, our reviewer Frank Stroupe had a chance to check out NZXT's high end, aluminum laptop cooler, the Cryo LX, which fits up to 19” wide-screen laptops. NZXT was born into the case market, so designing for style on top of functionality is the name of their game. This design process proved thoughtful and effective as the Cryo LX earned our seal of approval. Today, NZXT is at it again, as I have a look at their Cryo S aluminum laptop cooler.
