DEEPCOOL, with their latest coolers offering top tier performance, is really looking to be a worthy adversary in the cpu cooling industry. The Killer Whale really shined during testing and beat out most of the coolers that I had on hand to test against it.

ZEROtherm boasts this cooler can handle up to 200W of CPU load before it feels any ill effects. ZEROtherm did ship a fan along with my sample, and I was surprised to see they shipped a 43 CFM ZT-120F fan to cool the new entrant. I realize silence is a main concern for most, but a 40 CFM fan isn't typically capable of much real help in cooling a tower cooler. So, if in fact I can produce good results with said fan, it will prove that the cooler is indeed efficient.

OCIA.net has posted their review of the Thermaltake Massive23 LX Notebook Cooler. Below is a direct quote from the review.

The last time we saw something from Scythe it took an honorable 3rd place in 120mm air cooled coolers. With performance like that out of a typical sized air cooler, I was impressed. It did take some unique designing in the fins and a rather powerful fan to reach 3rd place, but in this game, you have to do what it takes to offer one of the best air coolers. With all the options for you to choose from, if you aren’t on top, you are likely to get passed right up as buyers browse the shelf in search of the “next big thing”. In steps, advice from people like myself and I may or may not turn you onto a product you may have never even thought to give a second look. Today might just be one of those days.

Looking at a few different concepts of how companies are approaching cooling today’s laptops, I have gotten a grasp of what seems to work out and what doesn’t do more than keep your legs cooler. While that is one concern when looking to buy a notebook cooler of any sort, cooling the components inside is more important, especially with my Lenovo. There is also a third factor, and that is styling. If this stand is going to sit in the open while you are out with your laptop, you may also be concerned with how it looks on the desk while you are away.

Today we tested the Ninja3 CPU cooler from Scythe, which has no less than eight U-shaped heatpipes. Check it out!

We are testing today the Spire TherMax Eclipse II, a big CPU cooler with five heatpipes and two 120 mm fans. This cooler is aparently identical to the first version of the Spire TherMax Eclipse, which we reviewed some time ago, and both are very similar (for not saying identical) to the 3R System iCEAGE Prima Boss II. The first version of the TherMax Eclipse, however, has shown a far worst performance than the Prima Boss II's. Maybe Spire released this second version to address this problem. Let's test it and see if the performance of this CPU cooler got better.
