Der aus Deutschland stammende Hersteller Alpenföhn konnte in den letzten Jahren nicht nur in puncto Innovationen glänzen, denn auch durch die für die eigenen Produkte gewählten Namen besitzt der Hersteller inzwischen einen gewissen Kultfaktor. Manch Leser dürfte bei Alpenföhn sofort an den Groß Clock’ner, den Brocken oder die Heidi denken. Mit dem neuen und wieder einmal namentlich passenden Föhn 120 Wing Boost möchte der Hersteller nun auch bei den High-End-Lüftern ein Wörtchen mitreden. Ob dies gelingt klären wir im nachfolgenden Review.

It's got great cooling performance, a dark distinctive look, an innovative direct touch design and mounting solutions that are second to none. Zalman is one of the oldest names in PC cooling products, and they've had some star performers over the years. They have always had a line of graphics card cooling products that compliment their CPU coolers. The GPU cooler market is more stable, and much less diverse that the CPU marketplace, for a number of reasons. Zalman has been a strong and steady presence as the power density of graphics processors has been steadily rising. There is a lot of competition on the OEM front for GPU coolers, as manufacturers try to differentiate their products in the video card marketplace. It's one of the key design elements that we look for at Benchmark Reviews. Into this power struggle, Zalman has just launched a whole new product line of aftermarket VGA coolers that will work with a wide variety of video cards. Today, we're going to look at the VF3000A model, which is specifically designed to mate with the ATI Radeon HD 58xx series of graphics cards.
When it comes to notebook coolers, most manufacturers stick to the smaller sizes of notebooks. They rarely expand their range to support notebooks larger than 15.6 inch models. Those with larger laptops are usually left out in the cold. They are forced to either stick with whatever internal cooling system their laptops have or come up with DIY solutions. Thermaltake sees the market for full-size notebook coolers. The Massive23 LX targets this market.

Today we look at the follow to the excellent Freezer Xtreme (Rev.2) CPU Cooler – the Freezer 13. The Freezer 13 has been redesigned from the ground up and features many improvements, including a new maximum cooling capacity of 200w (from 160w). Surprisingly in this age of ever increasing cooler sizes, it is also smaller, and features an incredible $25 price point. It also follows the tradition of Arctic’s high performance mainstream processor coolers by not requiring a backplate mounting system.

Zu einer guten Kühlung gehört eine gute Wärmeleitpaste. Bei einigen Anwendungen wie beispielsweise bei Wasserkühlungen kann die richtige Wärmeleitpaste den Ausschlag über die entscheidenden letzten zwei Grad geben. Aber auch bei Luftkühlung ist eine gute Wärmeleitpaste von Vorteil, gerade wenn übertaktet wird oder das System besonders leise laufen soll. Wir haben uns vier aktuelle Pasten von GELID, Noctua und Coolink angesehen und diese miteinander sowie mit dem Klassiker Arctic Silver 5 in unserem ersten „Short Report“ verglichen.
It used to be that when someone mentioned the name Corsair, most people would think of memory as the only product that they were well known for. Over time thy branched out a bit and started delivering a quality built power supply and they're still a leader in that respect. Fast forward to more recent times and we find Corsair is developing products in both cases and CPU cooling. With cases like the Obsidian Series cases and the Hydro series CPU coolers, Corsair has kicked down doors releasing new products to give users an almost complete Corsair solution for everything but the motherboard, CPU and expansion cards; otherwise you can one stop shop for most of the rest of the major components.
The Zalman ZM-NC3000U is a very nice accessory. Adding additional cooling is always a good thing, but when you throw in the added ergonomic benefit, it becomes much more appealing. The ability to use the cooler without any additional power source is a big bonus, as well as supporting everything from a 9" netbook all the way up to a 17" desktop replacement.
