Evercool's original Transformer 4 CPU cooler, with its dual 120mm fans, 8mm copper heatpipes and direct touch design should have been a top performer in the CPU cooling market. It wasn't. The newer Transformer 4 PLUS, with its higher speed PWM fans performs much better and adds socket 1156 support into the mix. In fact, the cooling is quite good and even has the cooling muscle to support some moderate overclocking.

Evercool has brought forward the Transformer 4 PLUS as a performance CPU cooler. Sporting four heat pipes and dual 120mm PWM fans, this cooler is made to do its job properly, and show the competition one up simultaneously. While the tests did not properly convey the heat sink’s effectiveness, it is suffice to say that I would expect the Transformer 4 PLUS to be capable to out-perform the majority of mid-performance heat sinks.

Back in August we looked at our first cooler from Evercool and today we are going to examine their Transformer 4 CPU. This cooler is a tower style heatsink that uses four 8mm direct touch heatpipes. Evercool provide dual 120mm fans to increase performance but give the option to use a single or dual fan configuration. The cooler is compatible with AMD K8/AM2/AM2+/AM3 and Intel LGA 775/1366/1156 processors. Today we will be conducting our testing on the AMD AM3 platform.

Hello, today I‘ve got another CPU cooler for review. It’s the Transformer 4 from Evercool, and it’s huge but it performs very well. This cooler is one of the best I’ve tested lately and it’s also one of the quietest as well. The Transformer 4 can be a bit tricky to install, and if you have large style ram in your computer it might not fit at all. Anyway, read on to learn more…

In the end, I was very impressed with this heat sink's performance. Utilizing only 4 heat pipes in direct contact with the processor, it pushed ahead of its competition. My only concern would fall with the universal mount and the possibility of the excess material impinging on a protruding transistor or capacitor. Sometimes doing more with less isn't always a great idea.

In this review Frostytech will be putting the Evercool Transformer 3 heatsink through its paces. The Transformer 3 is a tower-style heatsink which stands exactly 160mm tall. The cooler comes with a single 120mm PWM fan that operates at speeds of 2200RPM to 800RPM, though a second fan can added to the rear if desired. Four white vibration absorbing rubber posts are used to reduce vibrations from the fan motor to the heatsink, extra fan posts are supplied. The heatsink stands 160mm tall, is 130mm wide and 78mm deep with the single fan.

Today we are looking at the EVERCOOL Transformer 3 HDT CPU Cooler. The Transformer 3 is EVERCOOL's newest budget offering released earlier this year. Transformer 3 is equipped with a 12cm silent PWM fan, special designed cooling fins and three U-shape heat pipes with H.D.T Tech to help provide excellent cooling performance. Join us to see how well the EVERCOOL Transformer 3 does on our Intel Core i7-930 test system.
