Thermaltake has always been a big name in the enthusiast computer market. Today we will be looking at a new heatsink from Thermaltake with multi directional air intake and a unique quad heatpipe design. The Thermaltake V1AX combines aluminum, copper, and a quiet fan to replace your stock heatsink. Let’s see if it can handle the heat of an overclocked i7 920.

Today we are going to thoroughly test and review Akasa's latest GFX cooler which was released a couple of weeks ago, the Freedom Force. The Freedom Force is a bulky, high performance cooler designed to complement the most power hungry GFX cards.

We teste iCEAGE Prima Boss II, the newer version of the good Prima Boss CPU cooler from 3R System. Will it overperform its predecessor? Check it out!

Thermaltake's ISGC-100 is a low profile low noise heatsink for small and compact PC chassis. Three 6mm diameter copper heatpipes ensure good thermal conduction from the base to the fins of the 70mm tall heatsink. A 92mm PWM fan scales in speed from 600-1600RPM, directing airflow down through the horizontal aluminum fins of the heatsink. In real world terms the ISGC-100 heatsink ranges from moderately audible to completely silent.

Zalman's CNPS10X Quiet heatsink is equipped with a 120mm fan that ranges in speed from 1400RPM to 700RPM, which in real world terms means that noise levels are moderate to whisper quiet. As a low noise heatsink the CNPS10X Quiet maintains good thermal levels on Frosty's AMD/Intel test platforms, and at full tilt it qualifies as a performance heatsink.

Thermaltake's SpinQ VT heatsink stands 162mm tall and is made from nickel plated aluminum fins soldered over six copper heatpipes, which are really three heatpipes doubled over into a U-shape. Each aluminum fin has a shape that resembles a chain sprocket from a bicycle, but each of the ~50 fins is sequentially rotated 6mm before being threaded over the copper heatpipes. This creates the eleven-sided shape that resembles a drill bit on steroids.

Overclockers demand only the best performance from their computer hardware, which is why the aftermarket heatsink industry is thriving with competition. Using both the overclocked 140W AMD Phenom-II X4-965 BE and six-core Gulftown Intel Core i7-980X Extreme Edition processors, Benchmark Reviews tests several new thermal solutions for our Best CPU Cooler Performance Intel/AMD Q1-2010 article. Notable entries include the ProlimaTech Armageddon, Cogage Arrow, Noctua NH-D14, Thermalright Venomous-X, and Zalman CNPS10X-Performa.

Geared to support gamers and high-end enthusiasts in their battle against excess heat, the Thermaltake SpinQ (CL-P0466) CPU cooler features 50 waved aluminum fins -- shaped in classic cylinder figure – spirally arrayed around an 80mm 1600RPM fan. The patented fin design is said to provide great airflow and can help keep your processor and motherboard components nice and cool.

The Gelid Tranquillo heatsink stands 153mm tall and ships with a single 120mm PWM fan mounted. The tower-style heatsink weighs 645 grams and is compatible with Intel socket 775/1156/1366 and AMD socket 754/939/940/AM2+/AM3 processors. While you might expect the Tranquillo to be an exposed base heatpipe heatsink, it is not. Instead the four copper heatpipes are grouped closely at the base on a small copper heatspreader, and also grouped relatively closely to one another where they pass through raw aluminum cooling fins.
