Back in September and October of 2009 there was a lot of activity in the thermal paste marketplace. Gelid updated their product range with GC-2 and Arctic Cooling followed up soon after with their replacement for MX-2, MX-3. We reviewed both and found the MX-3 was a slightly better performer. Then, to our surprise Gelid immediately updated their range again with GC-Extreme in an attempt to out-do MX-3 and we found that to match the Arctic Cooling product in performance. Since that flurry of activity things have been quiet, other than Arctic Cooling changing their name to Arctic, that is until today when a box arrived on our test bench containing their new MX-4 paste.

Deepcool's Ice Matrix 400 is a great looking tower cooler that installs easily and comes with a quiet fan and a lot of handy accessories. It also cools very well, as long as it doesn't get pushed too hard.

Maingear prides themselves on delivering premium quality products along with thorough and personal support for the systems and is why they went to CoolIT to partner up to design a custom solution to fit inside of the SilverStone RV01 chassis. We all know that SilverStone long ago jumped ahead of the curve and started cooling their cases with 180mm fans. This gave Maingear a unique opportunity that they took full advantage of. Maingear could have followed suit with Corsair, Antec, CoolIT, or Asetek and just deliver the standard 120mm solution that we have seen in many, many forms, even one with a dual 120mm radiator! For Maingear that wasn't enough, they want to deliver their customers something even better.

The ProlimaTech MK-13 comes with nearly universal compatibility and future proofing for video cards. Many consider Thermalright to hold the crown here, but I get the fee! ling that ProlimaTech won't settle for second best. Join me as Benchmark Reviews examines and tests the ProlimaTech MK-13.

To be quite honest with you, the last time I used Zalman products to cool my graphics cards was back when it was the hip thing to turn the mundane X800GTO into the X850XTPE. Back then coolers were much smaller, but even so, Zalman seemed to be ahead of the game as far as what coolers offered the best bang for the buck. This is back when taking a VF700, or for a little more money, you could get the VF900 and really open the cards up in overclocking and overvolting potential. Heck, I even stripped my VF900 off the X800 and moved it over to my X1950PRO and it was more than capable for that card as well."
