The GlacialTech Siberia is a CPU cooler with a horizontal heatsink, one 140 mm and one 92 mm fans, and six heatpipes. Let's check it out.
Aircooling
In GlacialTech's lineup Siberia accompanies Alaska. But while Alaska is a universal solution good for both regular users and overclockers, Siberia is a more specialized, niche product made for those who like silence and prefer HTPC enclosures.

On the test bench today is Glacialtech's Igloo H46 heatsink - a tower style exposed heatpipe base CPU cooler that marks one of the best efforts for this Taiwanese thermal solutions manufacturer to date. Standing 158mm tall, the Glacialtech Igloo H46 heatsink ships with one 120mm PWM fan but is capable of accommodating a second rear-mounted fan (clips provided) should users wish to operate two fans at reduced speed and decrease fan noise overall. The Igloo H46's bright yellow fan impeller spins at 1600-800RPM. Weighing in at 560 grams, the Glacialtech Igloo H46 heatsink installs onto Intel socket 775/1155/1156/1366 and AMD socket AM2/AM3/FM1 processors.

Whether you're looking for AMD or Intel cooler this cooler fits all! Well, not all exactly, but it'll definitely fit into any latest sockets from AMD or Intel. GlacialTech was kind enough to send us their new Igloo Alaska from multi-platform series.

The Igloo 5761 Silent heatsink uses a familiar top-down-fan approach, with three 6mm diameter exposed base heatpipes conducting heat from the CPU to a small thin aluminum fin cooling stack. The cooling fins are topped off by a bright yellow 92x92x25mm PWM vaneaxial fan that operates at a fixed speed of 1200RPM. The fan outputs roughly 34CFM of air according the mfgr's specs, the airflow being directed down through the aluminum fin array and past the three intersecting copper heatpipes.

Standing just 88mm tall, the Glacialtech Igloo 5760 PWM heatsink is relatively compact as modern CPU coolers go. Small through it may be, Glacialtech seem to have engineered it in just the right spots to manage the demanding peak thermal loads of top-end processors like the AMD Phenom II X4 (140W TDP) or Intel Core i7 960 (130W TDP) processor. Given this cooling threshold, the Igloo 5760 PWM should be well matched against the plethora of mainstream 65W & 95W TDP chips currently available from both Intel and AMD...

CPU coolers are one segment of the DIY PC market where you're spoiled for choice. There are a hundred different companies marketing a thousand different coolers, all of them claiming to be the best solution for your needs. Today we'll take a look at the Igloo 5760, a multi-platform cooler from Glacialtech designed for the budget user who needs a bit more oomph than the stock AMD or Intel units can provide.

GlacialTech have successfully build a very cheap, easy to install and good looking little CPU cooler; it is mostly intended for environments that do not imply overclocking. In the performed tests, however, even if on the package it was listed that the i5 750 CPU is supported with its stock 2.66GHz frequency, I could do 3.2GHz without problems at all and with decent temperatures too, in both IDLE and Full Load.

Glacialtech's Igloo 5751 PWM heatsink installs onto Intel socket 775/1156/1366 and AMD socket AM2/AM3 processors, and stands a little over 125mm tall. Weighing in at 550grams, the heatsinks' two fans sandwich a 31mm section of aluminum cooling fins which are supported over the processor on four 6mm diameter copper heatpipes. Exhaust airflow is directed downwards towards a small extruded aluminum heatsink and adjacent motherboard components.

Glacialtech's Igloo 5710 Plus Silent is an economical low noise heatsink for Intel socket 775/1366 and AMD socket 939/AM2/AM3 processors. Produced by Taiwanese heatsink manufacturer Glacialtech, the Igloo 5710 Plus Silent is a straightforward CPU cooler, weighing 425 grams and built around a thin copper base, three copper heatpipes and a small tower of aluminum fins.
