Das im Jahr 1996 gegründete Unternehmen Zaward Corporation produziert und verkauft diverse Lüfter und Kühler sowohl für OEM-Geräte, als auch direkt für den Endkunden. Der neuste Spross aus dem Sortiment der CPU-Kühler hört auf den Namen Vapor 120 und ist für die neusten AMD- und Intel-Systeme geeignet. Mit einer ungewöhnlichen Lamellen-Struktur und dem PWM-Lüfter im Golfball-Design soll er gerade für den leisen Betrieb gut geeignet sein. Was der Vapor 120 noch bietet und was man von dem Kühler erwarten kann, erfahrt ihr in diesem Review.

Noctua strikes again and delivers the newest concept in their cooling line-up. With all the CPU coolers I have received over the years I gained a lot of respect for the Noctua name and simply, I love the "professional" or "heavy-duty" feel of the Noctua coolers. Even the smaller 90mm fan driven coolers have the feel of a superior cooler before you even strap it on to see (and not hear) the results they produce.

To be to the point, the Deepcool V6000 is a very decent aftermarket VGA cooler. It does a good job of keeping the graphics card cool while adding only the bare minimum of additional noise thanks to its super quiet fans.

The nPowertek TTIC NPH-105 heatsink is an interesting CPU cooler because it is constructed with 6mm diameter copper heatpipes (two) and a not so common 25mm diameter copper 'heat column' that is capable of moving a lot of heat on its own. A heat column is like a big heatpipe and it conducts heat in much the same way, but with a larger surface area in contact with CPU heat source and the heatsink's cooling fins.

The EKL Alpenfohn Groß Clock'ner 2010 heatsink on the test bench today is a heatpipe direct contact cooler - meaning the heatpipes are exposed at the base. The heatsink stands 155mm tall, is 125mm across, 105mm deep and weighs upwards of 718grams. Simple wire clips are used to hold a single 120mm fan in position, the non-PWM fan rotates at a fixed 1200 RPM. The heatsink is compatible with Intel socket 775/115/1156/1366 processors and AMD socket AM2/AM3 CPUs.

Akasa's Revo heatsink is known as a Loop Thermosyphon Cooler; it functions along the same lines as a heatpipe but relies on gravity instead of capillary forces to return its 'working fluid' back to the hot side. The working fluid is what conducts heat absorbed by the heatsink, from the processor to the heat exchanger, where forced air passing over cooling fins removes it to the surrounding environment. Unlike heatpipes which typically use water under a slight vacuum for working fluid, the Revo heatsink is slightly pressurized with a fluorocarbon called R134a.
