Aircooling

Phanteks is introducing the new PH-F140HP 140mm fan which is aimed specifically for air coolers. With that in mind, the Phanteks F140HP uses 120mm mounting in order to accommodate most tower coolers currently on the market.

Cooling experts Phanteks have released a new series of 140mm fans, the F140SP and F140XP, designed to improve case and radiator airflow. Using their tried and true Maelstrom Vortex design and Updraft Floating Balance Bearing, the Phanteks F140SP and F140XP are able to deliver 82.1 cfm with only 19 dBA of noise.

Sadly, I haven't had the opportunity to work with Phanteks much in my time here at eTeknix. However, today I am able to take a look at a set of fans from Phanteks. As usual they have the trademark mouthful-of-letters-and-numbers names that Phanteks like to endow upon their products. The PH-F140TS is a 140mm fan while the PH-F120S is a 120mm fan. Both are intended for cases and heatsinks and both come with 3 pin connections.

Phanteks have been working in the cooling market for almost 20 years, but relatively recently they decided to breach into the consumer space with the incredible PH-TC14PE. Receiving rave reviews across the industry, Phanteks have made a name for themselves in very little time by dethroning the Noctua NH-D14, which was regarded as the king of air CPU cooling for quite some time. If you were to obtain a Phanteks PH-TC14PE, you’ll also be provided with 2 PH-F140TS 140mm case fans. These fans are rated to have very high airflow whilst not making much noise, credited to their Maelstrom Vortex Booster design on the blades of the fan itself. We’ve received the blue version of the PH-F140TS, but it comes in black, red, orange and white too. Keep reading if you want to see if this fan is able to blow away the competition.

Today sees the introduction of some very exciting times in the cooling world. With a big announcement around the corner and the obligatory reviews to follow, we can’t help but feel very excited at the prospect of things to come. Today we have an early insight into some of the products being released by a cooling company who are set to become one of the biggest market contenders in the future, Phanteks Thermal Solutions.
