Recently, Noctua released some updates to the NF-P14 fan in the form of not one, but three new models; the NF-A15 PWM, NF-A14 ULN and NF-A14 FLX. Each fan offers something slightly different than the other, such as the ability to mount in 120mm vs. 140mm fan mounting holes, or different speed/silence options. I was a big fan of the original NF-P14, which still sees use on my CPU cooler today, so I have high expectations that these new fans will bring me some noticeable upgrades to the series.

When it comes to 120mm fans, we've all become used to the norm - which is that fans compete on noise level, cooling performance and aesthetics. However, today we have something quite innovative from Gelid. We have the Slim 12 UV Blue and Slim 12 PL Blue fans. Both are reduced width fans measuring in at 15.8mm instead of 25mm allowing for greater compatibility. The big question that most of you will want to know is does a thinner fan mean less performance? We reviewed the Gelid Black Edition CPU cooler. We primarily know Gelid from their popular Tranquilo Rev. 2 cooler, an affordable yet very silent and effective CPU cooler. It's one of the best coolers you can get in terms of value for your money. We were therefore quite eager to test Gelid's new cooler, called the Black Edition, which is positioned a little higher.
