CPU coolers, or at least air-based coolers, have had a tendency to grow in size and in all dimensions. This is certainly no exceptions as this thing is huge and I would certainly take a gander at the weight as it is impressively over 1kg and that is just the product weight! The larger the heatsinks are in theory the more surface area you can have and as such more heat lost. Typically however, the fans are mounted on the side of the heatsink to push/pull air into the heatsink. In contrast the Corator has the fan located in the centre which means the heatsink is a lot bigger but does incorporate the fan. Whether this provides any benefit to the airflow through the system I am not so sure and hopefully our testing will prove either way.

CPU coolers have always come in many flavours from various companies. A typical style has recently immerged for the use of huge heatsinks with fans mounted on one side, in the middle, or both sides. They usually have some form of heat pipes attaching the heatsinks to the copper base. The Evercool Buffalo is no exception to this template of design but might be more of a budget CPU cooler.

Questo nuovo CPU cooler a doppia torre, va seguito al precedente modello GX-7, mono-torre, ma anch’esso caratterizzato da una particolare configurazione delle 7 heatpipes present. We've officially entered the winter season (if we don't see more climate changes) which as some of you know is my favorite one not only because it makes working with computers easier (lower temperatures, higher overclocks) but also because i happen to love snow. Actually if you think about it pretty much every single thing out there that happens to have overheating issues in the summer performs way better during winter (for example turbo charged engines work a lot better in the winter). So because of that i thought that it would be nice if we started testing on some of the latest CPU Coolers to hit the market starting from Xigmatek and their latest VENUS XP-SD1266 CPU Cooler (or Air Cooling System as Xigmatek calls it).
