The Freezer13 will eventually replace the Freezer7 Rev2 as Arctic’s flagship cooler and on the evidence of these tests consumers won’t be left disappointed. The performance is on a par with the already excellent Freezer7 series and does so with a lower noise profile. In fact, with Cool ‘n’ Quiet enabled the fan is eerily silent and easily able to handle the Phenom II overclocked to 3.8GHz @1.5 Vcore on all four cores. Combine that with the excellent new design, proven reliability from Arctic’s previous products and a retail price below Ł25 - the Freezer13 truly is the “bang for buck” king!

Vor einigen Wochen haben Arctic Cooling einen neuen VGA Kühler aus der Extreme Serie vorgestellt, den Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme Plus. Auch wenn man optisch nichts Neues bieten kann, bleiben die VGA Kühler immer ein Highlight. Beim Xtreme Plus hat man eher mehr an der Erweiterung der Kompatibilität gearbeitet, was unserer Meinung nach ein wichtiger Faktor ist. Sunbeamtech's Twister 120 heatsink is for all intents and purposes based on a standard OEM design we've seen many times before on Frostytech. Standing 154mm tall, the Twister heatsink weighs 631 grams and ships with two 120mm fans that operate at speeds of 2000-1000RPM. Generally speaking, two fans are better than one when the fans are running at very slow speeds. Both of the no-name red impeller 120mm fans are non-PWM, so a manual PCI bracket fan speed controller is included in the package.

Zalman really has it going on with the new 11X Extreme. The five composite heatpipes and the innovative design allow its fan to provide some excellent cooling with very reasonable acoustics. Really, the only complaint I have about the 11X is the mounting solutions. While the cooler is very secure with this mounting scheme, I miss the ease with which most previous Zalman coolers could be installed, even inside the case.
