The NH-U12P continues the legacy of Noctua's classic NH-U coolers, which won over 150 awards and recommendations from leading international websites and magazines. While retaining the successful design and the well-proven SecuFirm™ mounting system, the newest revision has been reworked for enhanced main board compatibility and now comes with Noctua's NT-H1 pro-grade thermal compound. Fitted with the new NF-P12 premium fan, the NH-U12P brings its predecessors' much-acclaimed quiet cooling performance to a whole new level.

Noctua NH-L9x65 Low Profile Heatsink Review @ FrostyTech
Aircooling
Low profile does not mean low performance. Here is how this Noctua cooler compares
Aircooling
Noctua delivers the ultimate CPU cooling solution for those with serious clearance issues in their compact SFF PC build.
Aircooling
Noctua has been one of the top picks when it comes to air coolers. Their over-sized air coolers provide great cooling and are actually pretty easy to install as well. A little while ago we took a look at their NH-L12 CPU Cooler, which was a smaller low-profile cooler. I really did not think I would see a smaller cooler than that from Noctua, but they recently released the NH-L9i which is only 37mm high and should be the perfect fit for your small form factor system. Did I mention this cooler will not get in the way of any of your memory and it installs with only 4 screws! Read on as we take a look!

One thing I didn't anticipate with my move to the ITX form factor was the tight fit inside the ITX case I chose. I had to give up my large dual tower, dual 140mm silent fan Noctua cooler in favor a much smaller cooler I had in the parts bin (the only thing laying around that would fit the depth requirements). I wanted a better cooler, but I wanted something that was both ultra quiet (a big requirement for my regular usage) and high performing (for when I want to put on a game here and there). This is where Noctua's latest cooler, the NH-L9i, seemed to fit the bill.
Aircooling
The Noctua NH-L9i was able to outperform another low profile cooler and the stock Intel cooler, while also being by far the quietest of the three. In addition to keeping the CPU temperature and noise level down, the whole installation process took just a few minutes, and it uses bolts instead of plastic push pins to get the job done right and not just quickly.

When I got the box I was once again reminded how small this cooler is. A total height of ONLY 37mm (1,46 inches) and a total footprint of 95mm by 95mm, which complieswith Intel’s LGA115x “keep out zone”.
Aircooling
The Noctua NH-L9i is a premium heatsink designed for systems where space is an issue and noise control is of utmost importance like a HTPC and SFF (Small Form Factor) PC.
Aircooling
Noctua's low profile NH-L9i heatsink stands 36mm tall so it will fit into the smallest of small form factor chassis. The NH-L9i is designed to cool Intel socket LGA115x (1155/1156/1150) processors only, which is a departure from the one-size-fits-all approach we're used to from heatsink manufacturers. The Noctua NH-L9i heatsink weighs 420 grams and is built around a large, triangular copper base plate, two 6mm diameter copper heatpipes and aluminum fins. Every part of this heatsink has been nickel plated so all the joints are soldered to maintain low thermal joint resistance.
