Well CES is once again over and all that really remains is to see just how many of the prototypes presented there will actually make it to manufacture at least without serious compromises (either in features, performance or quality). Overall during this year’s CES we saw the introduction of a lot more impressive and innovative products than we did last year so that fact alone is more than enough for me to consider the entire show as a huge success. In any case some of you may recall us testing the latest NH-L9i low-profile CPU Cooler by Noctua a few weeks back with very good results (for its size always). Well it seems that very small low-profile CPU Coolers aimed mostly towards ITX/HTPC owners are really popular nowadays since we received many emails asking from us to test the latest AXP-100 low-profile CPU Cooler released just days ago by our friends over at Thermalright (and we did).

Noiseblocker are the kings when it comes to cooling and when it comes to fans and air cooling, they really do produce amazingly high quality products. The Multiframe fan series we saw previously showed well made Noiseblocker products. The cooler today is a little more specialised and is specifically designed for cooling hard drives. I give you the NB-Driveguard.

Over the past 10 years there has quietly been a small change in the mobile computer market that I don’t think everything has noticed. The name laptop has slowly been dropped and everyone uses the term notebook now. This might seem like a small change but this was actually to help prevent issues for a lot of manufactures. You see, with the name laptop, a lot of people would actually use them on their laps sometimes causing overheating issues. Even now with the new name, heat is still a concern. That is exactly why we have products like Cooler Masters new Notepal Ergostand II.Today I am going to take a look and see what has changed from the original.
