CPU coolers have always come in many flavours from various companies. A typical style has recently immerged for the use of huge heatsinks with fans mounted on one side, in the middle, or both sides. They usually have some form of heat pipes attaching the heatsinks to the copper base. The Evercool Buffalo is no exception to this template of design but might be more of a budget CPU cooler.

We've officially entered the winter season (if we don't see more climate changes) which as some of you know is my favorite one not only because it makes working with computers easier (lower temperatures, higher overclocks) but also because i happen to love snow. Actually if you think about it pretty much every single thing out there that happens to have overheating issues in the summer performs way better during winter (for example turbo charged engines work a lot better in the winter). So because of that i thought that it would be nice if we started testing on some of the latest CPU Coolers to hit the market starting from Xigmatek and their latest VENUS XP-SD1266 CPU Cooler (or Air Cooling System as Xigmatek calls it).

Sunbeamtech's Twister 120 heatsink is for all intents and purposes based on a standard OEM design we've seen many times before on Frostytech. Standing 154mm tall, the Twister heatsink weighs 631 grams and ships with two 120mm fans that operate at speeds of 2000-1000RPM. Generally speaking, two fans are better than one when the fans are running at very slow speeds. Both of the no-name red impeller 120mm fans are non-PWM, so a manual PCI bracket fan speed controller is included in the package.

When it comes to reviewing products fans just aren’t something very exciting, unless they’re from our friends at Noctua who always seem to be innovating and improving the designs of their fans.
