They say size doesn’t matter, but I think it does… at least when it comes to a USB drives, and I’ll leave it at that… I’ve got an exclusive review for you, our friends over at Kingston have sent me a rather expensive USB drive, coming in at about $1100 it’s not one that most people will be running out and grabbing anytime soon I’m sure, but it’s one of the first on the market. So I’ve got my hands on the Kingston DataTraveler 310 256gb USB Flash Drive, and you know we love our flash drive here at TestFreaks, and one like this gets us a little more than excited! Anyway, I’ve run my tests on it and compared it to some other drives I’ve got on hand and I can tell you that it performs better than even Kingston claims in does, I got faster speeds for both reads and writes, so read on to learn more…

I really don't know why exactly but the price drops in everything related with storage media are still going and I’m really afraid that if this goes on for much longer it could actually hurt the entire industry (although price drops are always good for the end user). Still my job is not to be an industry analyst but to test the latest hardware and since it so happens that most people are focused on these price drops i thought it would be nice if we placed yet another one of the latest USB 3.0 flash drives to hit the market under our scope. Well we did exactly that and as pointed out by the title of this review today with us we have the latest DataTraveler Elite 3.0 USB 3.0 64GB Flash Drive by Kingston.

Up for review today I have the Kingston DataTraveler Generation 3 or G3 USB flash drive. The drive is 32gb capacity and it’s one of the latest from Kingston. The G3 is very small and lightweight making it portable and easy to take with you. It’s a flash drive made for storage, how exciting is it really? Kingston also has an optional suite of software you can download for the G3 making it a bit more usable and user friendly that features things like a web browser, photo viewer and more. The drive isn’t one of the fastest out there but it’s not one of the slowest either, it falls about the middle in terms of performance really. Read on….

Without a doubt, the thing we love most about the review business is the opportunity to introduce new technology and things get even better yet when we are selected to be one of the first to introduce a product to the world…through a more detailed analysis. On the flipside, it truly hurts to have to ship back those products that you just can’t seem to let go of once you have it in your hands. Such is the case with the Kingston Hyper X Predator 512GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive, a handy little device that you can throw on your keychain and has the capacity to store more movies, music or pictures than you could have ever imagined.

No other industry moves as fast as the technology sector. While a few years ago we had to make do with sluggish flash drives, in 2011 there are a myriad of lightning quick USB 3.0 options available. A few weeks ago we tested at a very fast model from ADATA – the Nobility N005 Pro 64GB. Today we are looking at the latest model from Kingston, the DataTraveler HyperX 64 GB which is said to deliver class leading read and write speeds.

On the lookout for a flash drive that not only offers ample storage but also great performance? If so, Kingston's DT HyperX 3.0 is well worth a look. It's available in 64GB - 256GB flavors and offers performance of 225MB/s read and 135MB/s write. So let's take it for a spin and see how it fares to the previously-reviewed DT Ultimate 3.0.

I don't know about you, but more often than not, when I hear a person's name before seeing them, my brain would generate a mental image of them of what they might look like. To make sure I am not crazy or anything, I went around and asked a few of my friends, and it turns out I am not the only one. For example, if you mention the name "Jonathan Kwan", a picture of an intelligent, sharp, and good looking young man comes to mind. Jokes aside, let's imagine for a moment that, right after you have heard a person's name, you meet him or her, and they look nothing like you have visualized. Awkward. As you can see, a product's name is very important, just like a person's name. It does not matter whether it is good or not in practice -- what it is called already leaves a strong first impression. Earlier this year, we have reviewed the Patriot Supersonic Magnum 64GB USB 3.0 flash drive. It sounds really fast, because, well, it is. Today, we have a new challenger to the ring. It is called the Kingston DataTraveler HyperX 3.0. DataTraveler is Kingston's brand for their USB flash drives, and for me, it leaves an impression of an honestly reliable, business type product that is not very fast. HyperX is Kingston's brand originally developed for their RAM, but has recently expanded to other products like solid state drives. My impression of the HyperX brand has always been a signature of elite performance and quality, as mentioned in my HyperX Grey DDR3-1600 review back in June. So what makes the Kingston DataTraveler HyperX 3.0 64GB USB 3.0 flash drive? Is it a combination of the best of both worlds, fusing together cutting edge performance and honest-to-earth reliability? Read on to find out!
