Today Kingston just launched their first USB 3.0 flash drive called the Data Traveler Ultimate 3.0 and I’ve got it for review, specifically the 64gb version. This is, as I said, the first USB 3.0 flash drive from Kingston, so I was very curious as to how it performs and it does well. The DT Ultimate 3.0 exceeds the speeds that Kingston has listed in the specs, which is of course a very good thing and something that I’m glad to see. It’s Kingston though so I expected them to well honestly…. Read on to see the drive itself and see the test results for yourself.

The original A-DATA S599 was the second SandForce SSD we tested, but that was all the way back in March. Quite a lot has changed since then with all of the SandForce partners; the products are now more refined and the competition of a saturated market has led to more value added accessories being included.

Today for review Seagate has sent me over one of their FreeAgent Go drives, specifically the 500gb version. I’ve taken a look at quite a few Seagate products in the past and I’ve always liked them, the same goes for the one I have today. The FreeAgent Go is small and portable and relatively fast, or as fast as USB 2.0 will get you. It’s a 2.5” drive inside the casing, on that drive you’ll find some very useful software for backups, syncing and even encryption. As a bonus with this drive you’ll get a free copy of Star Trek when you register the drive with Seagate. So read on…

While we have often focused on small capacity Solid State Drives today we thought it would be interesting to have a look at the 512GB SSDNowV+ Kingston drive aimed at the enthusiast audience with specific demands for the highest levels of storage capacity.

A NAS is a NAS, right? Not so with the DS210j from Synology. For the DS210j, NAS means Network Application Server, Move over devices that only give you shared folder support, the DS210j offers all the functionality of a x86 box in a small and neat package. The DiskStation Manager software brings it all together in a tight package.

Being known for sending products back with a note explaining why a product is junk, I will never recommend it to anyone. But obviously something has changed in my line of thinking or else you wouldn’t even be reading this review to begin with. To start things off, Corsair’s new F40 is not a reduced channel POS that should have never seen the light of day. This is a real SSD with all of the channels sending and receiving data just like the big boys that I normally cover. That means that most of the performance is there...not all of the performance since smaller flash is a bit slower, but enough is retained to make the F40 worthy of your time.

The OCZ Enyo USB 3.0 Portable Solid State Drive (SSD) features all the performance and durability advantages of an internal SSD, but in a slim portable USB 3.0 external storage solution for on-the-go power users. With up to 260MB/s read and 200MB/s write capabilities, the OCZ Enyo is unlike any portable USB 3.0 device you have ever used before.
