OCZ Technology launched their Vertex 3 solid state drive based on the second-generation LSI-SandForce SF-2281 processor back in early 2011, making it a familiar storage product among high-performance enthusiasts. Two years later they've revisited the popular design, and made several improvements. Now available with 20nm Synchronous Multi-Level Cell (MLC) NAND flash components, Vertex 3.20 is designed to offer better performance for less cost. Vertex 3.20 arrives in 120GB and 240GB capacities, both offering 550 MB/s reads and 520 MB/s writes. In this article Benchmark Reviews tests the 120GB OCZ Vertex 3.20 SSD (model VTX3-25SAT3-120G.20), and compare it against the fastest SATA 6GB/s storage solutions.

KingFast recently merged with the SSD manufacturing juggernaut RunCore. The two companies blend the high-end products of RunCore with the value-oriented client and enterprise SSD's from KingFast. Today we test KingFast's latest SLC SSD, the F3 Plus.

After the launch of the Vertex 4 OCZ had a little explaining to do. Initially the SSD was presented as using a controller developed in-house by Indilinx, but that turned out to be a Marvell controller using their firmware. The new Vertex 450 makes up for this, as it really does have a controller developed by them and not someone else.

With its "Se" series of enterprise hard drives, WD is targeting those in need of "bulk storage", whether it be in a datacenter or NAS. Its biggest perk is that it almost perfectly mimics the company's Re drives, boasting a 5-year warranty, models ranging from 2 - 4TB, and best of all, a price tag of up to $80 less.

When we first caught wind of the Adaptec Series 7 RAID adapters late last year, we were itching for the chance to get it in our test bench. But, in order to do the review justice, we needed SSDs. We needed a LOT of SSDs. We needed 24 SSDs. Unfortunately, sampling even 4 or 8 SSDs at one time is often difficult. That is why we jumped at the chance to test out the Adaptec ASR-72405 with 24 x SMART Optimus 200GB SAS SSDs.

The EonNAS Pro series is comprised of Infortrend’s SOHO/SMB solutions and they come in 2, 5, or 8 drive variants. For the most part, all of their current x10 models come with 2GB of memory and are powered by an Intel Atom Dual-Core 2.13Ghz Processor. They do have a couple variants of the EonNAS Pro 850 which ramp up the installed memory to 8GB of memory and the processor to an Intel Core i3 Dual Core 3.3Ghz chip. In today’s review, we will be taking a look at the EonNAS Pro 510 specifically, which Infortrend sent to us with 4 x 1TB drives installed.
