The Super Talent UltraDrive ME adds 64MB of Elpida DRAM to the buffer has permanently solved stuttering problems, making raw performance the last bottleneck. An Indilinx 'Barefoot' internal controller commands the bank of Samsung K9HCG08U1M DRAM modules, allowing the UltraDrive ME SSD to offer an impressive capacity with top-speed performance. Benchmark Reviews tests the reaction time and bandwidth performance for the FTM28GX25H 120GB model against over two dozen other products in this article.

With so little internal storage on some netbooks, adding a SDHC card let’s you do even more by giving you more space to install applications and store data. SanDisk recently came out with an 8GB and 16GB Netbook SDHC Card series and we put the 16GB card to test in an ASUS Eee PC 900 netbook that originally came with an 4GB SSD.

External hard drives have grown in popularity considerably in recent years. Most of us have experienced at least one dreaded hard drive failure and so we’ve learnt the importance of backing up files. One hardware device which makes backing up effortless and fast is an external hard drive. These are also useful for mass portable storage. Today we’ll be reviewing an external hard drive enclosure from ‘Rosewill’. This 3.5” SATA enclosure supports all the modern standards and can support even a 1TB hard drive. Time to take a look at the RX81-MP-US…

Is the stock SSD in your netbook so slow it's driving you nuts? Well, Super Talent has the cure with their new SATA Mini 2 PCIe SSD. Their new line of SSDs were designed to be a drop in replacement for the ASUS Eee PC S101,900, 900A and 901 netbook PCs. Join us as we take a look at the 64GB MLC version and how it performs in an ASUS Eee PC 900 netbook.

With generation 3 guidelines for the 6.0 GBps SATA interface already being used in prototype motherboards for show at the not-so-distant 2010 CES in January, it's understandable to see the speeds of Solid State Drive products increase so quickly with each new model. The Indilinx Barefoot controller has become the backbone chip for over a dozen different SSD models, first introduced in the OCZ Vertex SSD, and now make a return appearance in the OCZ Vertex Turbo SSD series.

Today I’m looking at the new Agility Series of SSD Drives from OCZ Technology, specifically their 60gb capacity model. The Agility Series is the middle of the road product line, between the budget style and the high performance style, they’re sold as a ‘mainstream drive’, or something for someone who wants good performance but yet wants a lower priced drive than other SSDs out there today. I’ve put the OCZ Agility Series SSD up against a few other drives including another SSD for testing and comparison, so read on to see how it performs.

So where do I stand when it comes to evaluating the QNAP TS-219P as an overall unit? The benchmark results are certainly respectable. You can count on performance in the range of 20 to 40MB/s depending on file size and transfer rate. The difference between RAID 0 and RAID 1 is large enough that you'll notice a small increase in speed but at the same time small enough that you won't be waiting forever while data is duplicated to both drives.
