Wireless storage is becoming increasingly popular, I cannot tell you how many wireless hard drives we saw at CES this year. Wireless storage is great as you do not need to be physically connected to the drive to access it and think about how many wireless devices you have in your house. How many of those devices do you take with you on a daily basis? For me I take my laptop, iPhone and Kindle with me everywhere. With the release of Intels X79 chipset and new 2011 socket it was only a matter of time before we saw Motherboards aimed at the gamer. X79 brings Quad Channel memory architecture and PCI 3.0 supporting the RAM and Video Cards respectively. Finally we get to take a look at the infamous ASRock Fatal1ty Professional Motherboard with the new X79 Chipset. The new X79 chipset brings PCI3.0 and Quad Channel Ram onto the Intel market. The Corsair P64 is the smallest drive in the family but don't be fooled. The capacity is more than enough for your notebook or netbook. The numbers may claim that the drive isn't the fastest but the difference has been hard to notice in day to day use. The drive has been completely stutter free since day one and that's the biggest improvement and best reason to pick Corsair's Performance Series over everyone else in the market. Truly, the only change I can recommend is for Corsair to step up and stand by a much longer warranty than the two years it is currently offering.
Just 2 days prior to getting into 2013 we had to sit down and pick the first product reviews which would get us into 2013 for good and since recently we promised to bridge the gap created in our SSD reviews section we decided to test yet another such product. Now if you read our Intel 335 SSD review you should be well aware that the performance factor regarding SATA III solid state drives hasn't really changed that much in 2012 (always compared to 2011) and so at least until the new controllers arrive in late Q1 (if all goes according to plan) we really can't expect to come across anything that will blow what we currently know out of the water. 2012 however did see a significant price drop in SSDs and so currently consumer models with capacities up to 240GB are surprisingly easy to acquire.
