Lexar sent over the 128GB variant of their Professional Compact Flash line-up. We put its 1000x speed rating to the test.
Lexar turns up the heat on the USB 3.0 flash drive market with the P10 pen drive. We have it in house for testing.
It’s almost a year since I reviewed the Lexar Lexar Triton Jumpdrive, and I was amazed by its performance, as a matter of fact I still find the Triton to be one of the best USB3 flash drives that you can get. We all know that when it comes to technology changes happen very quickly, and the Lexar P10 JumpDrive is here to validate this rule.
On the outside it might look identical to the Triton, but this time Lexar has taken one big step forward, and almost doubled the read and write speeds of the P10 JumpDrive. The Lexar P10 is available in three sizes, starting with the 16GB, the 32GB that I will be reviewing, and the maximum size that you will be able to get the P10 is 64GB.

So let’s move forwards, and start his review by taking a first look at the package and its contents.
In the world of flash storage, there is a multitude of big names on the playing field and for those who hold the highest reputations, they are either built on a long standing existence for example Sandisk and for some other vendors, the reputation they have built up from producing high quality products. Lexar is a company that in a sense falls into both categories and built as a spin-off company from Cirrus Logic in 1996, Lexar started off in developing flash controllers. Further down the line, Lexar was overtaken in ownership by Micron in 2006 and has since then been merged with Crucial as a subsidiary of Micron. Since then there has been a long line of flash storage products roll off the production line with the Lexar branding and moving forward to today we have the fastest and best looking flash drive that they have ever made.
The P10, as mentioned is quoted to be one of the fastest flash drives available to buy at this moment in time, offering up to 24x the performance of USB2.0 drives, The drive also features a sleek metal alloy body and come in capacities ranging from 16-64GB as it headlines Lexars USB flash drive lineup.
We recently reviewed the Lexar Professional Workflow DD512 and liked it. Lexar fulfilled our perception of their company with the DD512 as an excellent, professional and focused product. Today we have something a little simpler and something we think a many people already have a lot of; the USB pen drive. What makes this different from your multi coloured no-name variety? Recently I’ve been taking a look at some of the newest flash drives on the market, including those from Lexar and whilst they may be either the fastest, best looking, or offer the best value for money, there is one area where they all fail. In this review PCSTATS is checking out Lexar's stylish 64GB JumpDrive Triton - a nice looking retractable thumb drive housed in a weighty metal alloy case. Lexar's USB 3.0 thumb drive is rated for speeds of 155MB/s read and 150MB/s write -- that's pretty quick. For a clearer picture of its capabilities PCSTATS will need to benchmark the Lexar JumpDrive Triton against comparable USB 3.0 drives of similar capacities.
