Outside of the performance, though, where the TS-1079 Pro shines is in the ridiculously huge feature set that's offered by it. The hardware side is extremely strong as they've made the move to the Sandy Bridge platform, but software feature list is just huge and if you go through it and start to break it down, you can see that the TS-1079 Pro does a good job of catering to so many markets.

The Wi-Drive looks great and of course will not look out of place sitting next to your iPhone. I have to wonder, though, is the design a little too similar? I am not sure if Kingston had to make the device look so much like an iPhone, but they've gone and done it this time. I reckon next time they could be a little more original, though. There is just something that feels a bit off about it. The device is lightweight and functions rather well from the outside. There is an on/off button on the side of the device which flashes green when charging and holds a solid green when fully charged.

Today system wide performance increases come from high speed storage products and Mushkin is still using their knowledge to help enthusiasts make everything better, faster and more reliable. Unlike many SSD manufacturers, you can buy Mushkin products on their website directly from the company. Mushkin also has a network of resellers, but in many cases the best prices come from Mushkin directly. Because of this, Mushkin, the SSD Company that you rarely hear about, has some of the lowest priced SandForce based drives available on the market today.

Kingston’s HyperX moniker has always been assigned to their performance products whether it is computer memory or USB drives. Now you can add SSDs to that naming convention as they have released the HyperX SSD, a performance based drive geared towards the computer enthusiast market.

As with any product, the more time you put into refining it, the better the end result. Reference designs may go through several revisions before they will reach optimal performance. That said, as time passes small issues that can cause problems in rare instances are isolated and solutions are implemented on an ongoing basis to make products better.

Our review today is going to examine the Memoright FTM Plus 6Gbps 240GB SSD; a ‘SandForce Driven’ SSD capable of read/write performance in excess of 500MB/s. Memoright focuses primarily on enterprise sales, however, they were one of the first to release a consumer SSD back in 2007. Submission of their MR25.1 128GB SLC SSD for review was our first introduction and we were floored at its MSRP, at that time, of $3500. Solid state drives have come down just a bit since then.
