The SanDisk Connect Wireless Media Drive is a small device, less than half the size of your average cell phone. It has an aesthetically pleasing look to it, as well. So what does it do? Well, in short, it’s a way to add storage to your wireless multimedia devices. It broadcasts its own Wi-Fi network, which you connect to with your wireless device, and streams audio/video content.

We look at the MiniStation Extreme from Buffalo, a durable external solution with a pleasant 1TB capacity. Read on as Tyler gives us all the details.

It’s not often that a new manufacturer comes into a mature market, but that’s what we’re seeing in the KitGuru Labs today. Hynix, one of the world’s largest producers of memory chips, has decided to get serious in the SSD market with the SH920 – almost a year after its toe-in-the-water SH910A product. Join us as we put the Hynix SH920 128GB SSD under the microscope.

Up until recently, Patriot Memory seemed to have moved back from the SSD scene and become focused on phone accessories and portable devices for their retail makeup. Today is a new day, however, and Patriot enters the SSD arena once again. Read on as we put the new 480GB Patriot Ignite to the tes in our first review of a Patriot SSD for some time.
As with many third-party SSDs in previous years, Patriot’s drives have typically been SandForce driven. Recently, Phison has become recognized as a solid competitor in the SSD controller game through their offering of great performance at a decent price. The end result seems to be a much closer look at Phison by SSD manufacturers, Patriot included with the introduction of their new Ignite SSD family.

We've mentioned numerous times in the past that SATA III compatible solid state drives (SSDs) have pretty much maxed out the performance limit of that standard (bandwidth limitations) and although that might be just in maximum read/write data transfer speeds and not continuous/constant ones (that would be nice to see) the end result doesn't really change. PCIe and M.2 based SSDs have surpassed that limitation both in maximum and constant read/write performance for a while now and although the first tend to cost quite a bit more compared to regular SATA III ones while the second are not compatible with older mainboards in the end these drives are a way out for people who are looking for something faster. It may have taken a while for them to do so but Kingston finally released their very own HyperX PCIe and M.2 models inside 2015 and with us today we have the top of the line Predator 480GB M.2 PCIe G2 SSD.
