Todays review is going to take a look at a SandForce controlled SSD which is being sold by a UK based company, named Future Storage, who are hoping to push low SSD prices in worldwide sales. The SSD itself is 'SandForce Driven', assembled and shipped from the USA for North American sales. In fact, our sample SSD shipped with 32Gb Toshiba NAND flash modules that we hadn't seen in any SSDs sent our way as of yet.

If you are looking for something faster than a USB 2.0 Flash drive for file transfers the eSATA interface it certainly an option that you should look into if the systems you work with have eSATA available on them. When moving roughly 30GB of files like we did in the real world testing the OCZ Throttle saved over a half an hour of time and to those that work on deadlines or are in a hurry that is very important...

Today for review I’ve got another NAS box, this one though is from Thecus and it’s their new N4200 model that features an Intel Dual Core Atom CPU and a nice 1 gig of ram. The N4200 has some other great features as well like the built-in battery backup system, along with dual displays on the front for monitoring system status and even for changing some of the settings without having to login to the admin section. The N4200 is fast, one of the fastest NAS boxes I’ve taken a look at, but it’s got plenty of other features going for it as well.. So read on to learn more…

In the past we have taken a look at a variety of different SSD’s of all different sizes and shapes. Today we are going to check out something completely different. Today we are taking a look at a tiny 1.8 inch SSD that uses a PATA ZIF connection. For those of you who don’t know what a ZIF connection is, that is a zero insertion force connection. You typically see them inside of laptops and in this case this drive is normally used on small laptops and in some handheld devices. Being a PATA based (think IDE) these aren’t all about speed, but I wanted to check the drive out due to its size. So let’s take a look.

As some of my friends have pointed out recently i may have been doing SSD reviews for slightly over 5 years now (roughly 6) but although a large number of consumer oriented models have landed in my hands i can't say the same about enterprise/industrial grade models and so in the following months we will do our best to try and fix that. We already started by testing the SSDnow E50 100GB SSD by Kingston a couple of weeks ago a drive which offered very good read/write speeds with the data safety only an enterprise grade product can offer. However the E50 is not the flagship SSD model in the Kingston SSDnow line and so we decided that it would be in everyone’s best interest to get the top of the line E100 200GB variant (although quite older) and see not only how it does against its smaller brother the E50 but also against every single SSD in our charts.

OCZ has just released a performance solution for the hard drive user that wants to keep their hard drive yet gain the performance of an SSD. The SSD Review evaluated the OCZ Synapse Cache SSD and found its performance to match that of most upper tier solid state drives with a 14 second boot time to match. Our review is detailed, includes photos and test results and we think the Synapse Cache just might be a hit with the consumer SSD crowd, especially in this time of higher HDD prices.

One of only three drives to date featuring emulated SLC technology, SanDisk's Extreme II is a Hyper-Class SSD geared toward the enthusiast crowd.

It's been a while since we last took a look at a Crucial product, so for the next one, how about we make it interesting? SSDs aren't uncommon, but high-end SSDs that don't feature a SandForce controller are - and of course, that's what makes Crucial's m4 notable. Does its lack of a SandForce controller hold it back? Let's take a look.
